5 things to remember

Vaccinations are meant for healthy animals only. Do not allow vaccines to be given when a pet is ill or undergoing an anesthetic procedure.
There is no evidence annual boosters are necessary. A titer (blood) test can determine vaccine immunity and prevent over-vaccination.
Do not give multiple vaccinations at one time.
The safest interval between immunizations is about 3 weeks.
Supervise pets after a vaccination in case of an adverse reaction. If you think your pet is suffering from a vaccine reaction, call your vet immediately.
