UPDATE: Flower is now Seven and no longer up for discussion.

Well sometimes things do not go as you think they will. Due to no fault of her own, Miss Flower is up for discussion.

When I made the post almost 2 weeks ago about the 3 puppies open for discussion, I took those 3 puppies to my back field for some new pictures and possibly some videos. Well, up to that point I had no intention of keeping a chocolate female. My plan had been to put one of my yellow/fox red girls into training to pursue hunt test titling. Well, when I took those 3 puppies to back field Miss Flower blew me away. She turned into a true retrieving fool with the wings. In all my breeding years I have never seen a 7 week old puppy do what she did. She did so many “baby retrieves” with the wings that I lost track after two dozen…not kidding. Normally I would never consider doing that many retrieves of any type (baby or not) with a puppy for fear they would lose interest. Flower absolutely loved it and could not get enough. It literally blew my mind. I did take her out the next day, and she did multiple baby retrieves again, but not nearly as many. I stopped before she could lose interest. It was also pretty hot outside, no puppies for competition and I am pretty sure she was already tired from playing with her littermates. I have not brought her back out to try it again since then just because I have been so busy. I had been seriously leaning toward keeping her and putting her into professional training. Thus, why she was never showcased for discussion. Unfortunately, a different puppy ended up injuring himself just before he was going to go to his new home and now will need to stay here for at least 4 to 6 weeks. During this time frame he will be on very strict activity restrictions and will require a lot of one-on-one time. Because of this, I do not have the time to dedicate to Miss Flower. So now I am putting Miss Flower up for discussion. This is not an easy thing for me to do, but I feel it is the best. One thing for certain is that this little girl will need a legitimate job. I would like her to have the opportunity to pursue hunt test titling or have some sort of serious job. Search and rescue would be another thing I would consider for her. Miss Flower will also need a home where she gets to live as a companion dog. After she gets her initial energy out, she becomes super affectionate and very sweet. The day I took her out in the field when she did all of those baby retrieves, I took many pictures of it. Every single one of the pictures with a wing in her mouth resulted in her bringing it to me. She would either place it in my hand or push it up to the side of my leg. If timing allows on Thursday, I will take her back out there again to see what she does. I will also take some new pictures of her. If I can’t do it Thursday, I will make it a priority on Friday. She is currently 8 weeks old and ready to go to her forever home. I will be selective with her placement and can definitely say someone is going to get a phenomenal puppy. If you are interested in Flower, please contact me!

We are proud to be an AKC Breeder of Merit as well as Bred with H.E.A.R.T. Breeder. All of our puppies are born and raised in our home! We focus on producing quality dogs and giving them the best start possible. Our puppy program is extensive and comprehensive. We do early neurological stimulation (ENS) and early scent introduction (ESI) between days 3 and 16. After that we have designed a proven program that builds confidence, social skills and addresses the key developmental stages that all puppies experience. Our puppies are introduced to wings/birds, various types of textures, gunfire from a distance, daily home noises, obstacle courses, adventure walks in various terrains, introduced to crates, car rides, potty training concepts and are thoroughly socialization with adults, children and safe dogs of various ages. All of our puppies are loved and handled individually every day. We pay attention to the details and it shows. Dew claws are removed, preventative deworming x3, 1st round of vaccinations, microchipped, and an individual wellness exam at 6 weeks and health certificate from licensed veterinarian. Our puppies are sold with limited registration, but it is written in the contract that can be changed to full after official hip, elbow and eye clearances are obtained. Our puppies come with a 30-month written hip/eye health guarantee and lifetime genetic disease guarantee to never affected by the genetic diseases we test for. Our puppies also come with lifetime breeder support. Lots of references available.

Time for the Baseline Personalities Update for the Freya and HRCH UH Buzz SH Litter!
Please keep in mind that the following information is based on observations in a controlled environment. The traits may change as the puppies have new experiences in different environments.

Males
Bungie – This adorable boy is as thick as they come. He had wrinkles on his wrinkles so much so that it looked like they covered his eyes unless he was lifting his head upward. He could see, it was just adorable to watch. He has grown into most of his wrinkles now and he no longer has to to look up to move the wrinkles away from his eyes. Bungie is the absolute sweetest boy that loves everything and everyone. Bungie is constantly wagging his tail, smiling and just wanting to be a part of everything. He is so incredibly social and literally trusts with his whole heart. If you meet him, you will know what I mean by that. Bungie is very confident, curious and has no problem going off on his own to explore something new. He enjoys carrying things around and will often bring them to me. He loves the wings, toys, bumpers, sticks, leaves…pretty much anything he can carry around. He is probably the lowest energy puppy of this litter, but considering the overall scale for energy, Bungie is solidly in the middle. He has an amazing natural on/off to him already. Bungie literally will sit and then try to jump into my arms when I pick him up. He loves to give and get kisses. He absolutely loves any and all pets and will roll over in my lap to get tummy rubs and leg rubs. He is an enthusiastic puppy with such a gentle soul. Bungie has something very special about him and this boy could truly go any direction. He has one the strongest desires to please in any puppy I have seen at this age.

Patriot – Mr. Patriot is the biggest and darkest colored puppy of the litter. He is by far the leader of everything with this litter. He is very confident, outgoing, inquisitive and just a straight up go-getter. Patriot is consistently the first puppy to start and the last to stop. He loves people but is not generally the in your face kind of puppy. Patriot tends be the first to go off on his own to explore and investigate whatever I have set out for the puppies. He has amazing eye contact and is always aware of where I am. He is the type of puppy that will be off doing something and then comes to check in on his own or when called. Patriot has a phenomenal natural carry and usually has something in his mouth. Patriot enjoys a good cuddle, but usually likes it to be after he has played for a while. This boy is going to be BIG as an adult. At the 6 week wellness check he was 13.8 pounds and has a very thick bone structure. Patriot is a puppy that will need a job, but he is also very sweet and loves to be loved on. He loves to roll around for love too.

Smores – Smores is smack dab in the middle between Patriot and Bungie with regard to energy, drive and size. Smores is one of the lighter puppies with dark red highlights/saddling. He has a big ol’ blocky head and is absolutely beautiful! Smores is funny. Some days he likes to be a little bit more independent and will go off to check things out on his own and tend to play by my side. Other times he wants to be very interactive and will bring me his wings or toys. Smores loves a good cuddle and will try to get some attention during his play breaks. Smores is in the middle of the litter hierarchy and doesn’t let any one pick on him. He is not the type to pick on others either. Smores has a calm confidence about him. He is usually more of a thinker, but also just jumps right when it is a new place or obstacle. When Smores wants something, he can be tenacious. Smores definitely likes wings, bumpers and various toys. Smores has also brought his wings to me and even had to work his way through his littermates to get it to me. I took the picture series to show this. He has the drive and interest in wings. With his energy type, I do think Smores will need a job. I also know he will be fantastic family companion too.

Females
Cayenne – This big girl is absolutely stunning in every way! Cayenne is very sweet, loving and interactive. She absolutely loves people and will go well out of her way to interact. She is the kind of puppy that prefers to get a little bit of love before running off to play or investigate something new. Cayenne is usually right in the middle of whatever the puppies are doing. She will go toe-to-toe with any of her siblings if there is an object she wants. She loves the wings, bumpers and various toy. Cayenne is more of a thinker type and is also very observant to what is going on around her. She is always aware of where I am. She likes to check in on her own and if I am busy with another puppy or not paying attention, she will literally sit and just look at me. She will also roll around and gently paw my side or bat her hands trying to get my attention. She is an absolute hoot and very smart. She has excellent eye contact. She is more of a medium energy puppy with a strong natural on/off. Cayenne can play super hard, but she also can be very calm even when she is still full of energy. Cayenne definitely got the affectionate genes from both of her parents. She loves to be cuddled. She is going to be a big blocky girl that will make a phenomenal hunting dog and family dog.

Diamond – Miss Diamond is the smallest puppy of the litter and still has quite a bit of wrinkles to grow into. She is a funny character and has a strong independent streak. Some times she wants to be cuddled or play with people. Other times all she wants to do is be off doing her own thing. She loves to get after the wings, toys and pretty much anything that she can get in her mouth that is “fun” to her. Diamond does her best to not let her siblings pick on her, but I have had to intervene. Diamond is definitely a thinker and can be a little fearful simply because of how she tends to get picked on. She is getting better at standing up for herself. Each day she seems a bit more confident. I have no doubt this is why she has an independent streak. When away from her siblings, she does much better and is more accepting of anything I try to do with her. Diamond also has a very affectionate and happy side to her. I am working with her on being more interactive. She is the kind of puppy that will need a gentle, guiding type of training for now. She reminds me a lot of Freya in how she looks, the silly antics and how she absolutely cannot get close enough sometimes.

I have not decided if Freya will have another litter just because she cannot give birth naturally and requires a cesarean each time. She has recovered well and is an amazing mama. The puppies she produces are phenomenal in all ways. If Freya is bred again, it will be the last time. Also knowing that she has only had a small litter (5. 6 and 5) each time, I may not have another chance to keep a female like her. Because of this I have decided to keep Diamond.

Time for the Baseline Personalities Update for the Angel and HRCH Houdini MH litter born June 20, 2026!

Please keep in mind that the following information is based on observations in a controlled environment. They may change as the puppies grow and have new experiences in different environments.

Black Males: 1 possibly 2 spots open.

Brick- Mr. Brick is what I like to call an all-around beautifully balanced puppy. He loves the wings, bumpers and various toys. He has lots of energy and s***k! Brick also likes to lay around and watch when still full of energy. He is curious and outgoing. Brick sometimes thinks first, but other times just jumps right in. He absolutely loves people and will very intentionally come over to interact. Sometimes this is to get tummy rubs and be loved on. Other times it is to play. He will also bring his wings and toys over to me intentionally as well. Brick has a very nice natural on/off to him. He has everything needed to go many different directions and also be a wonderful family companion.

Cowboy – Cowboy and Brick are very similar. The biggest difference that I have seen is that Cowboy is even more focused on people. He absolutely loves people and is always aware of where I am. He wants to interact, play and get loved on. Cowboy has a very nice natural carry to him and is often strutting around with his trophies. He also frequently brings them over to me. Cowboy is more of a middle energy puppy and is also very well balanced all around. He plays hard in bursts, has awesome drive, excellent eye contact and still likes to lay around and get loved on. He also has a strong natural on/off to him. Cowboy has no problems going off to explore something or someplace new. He doesn’t relay on the other puppies for his confidence at all. He also checks back in automatically all the time or comes running when called. Cowboy has so much potential to go many directions. But in my mind the biggest thing is that he has a family that will loved to cuddle and play with him.

Gray – Mr. Gray is the smallest of the males and is tied with Pink for smallest puppies of the litter. But don’t let it fool you…this boy has s***k! Mr. Gray has consistently been the male puppy that is the first to do almost everything. He was the first male to consistently climb out of the box to find people, mama or anything interesting. He would usually be loose in the room with his sister (Yellow) while everyone else was still in the box. He has a tenacious side and doesn’t give up when he wants something. Mr. Gray is a middle to higher energy puppy and usually a jump right in kind of boy. He loves people and will often check in during play sessions. He loves the wings, bumpers and various toys…especially the bigger objects. He is super sweet and loves to give and receive affection. He has amazing eye contact and seems more in tuned to the people around him. I swear he is listening and trying to figure out what I am saying sometimes. Mr. Gray is definitely a smart puppy and could easily go any direction. One thing for sure is that he will be an amazing companion too!

Scooby – Mir. Scooby is the biggest puppy of the litter and yep, he knows it. He has the potential to be a very big boy when he is fully grown. Scooby has always been a puppy to let you know exactly what he is thinking. He has a big personality that always makes me laugh. Kind of like a class clown. Scooby is always happy and seems to love just about everything and everyone. He gets excited for the wings and various toys and is a big-time strutter! Scooby will sit and smile at you when he wants attention. He also likes to climb up for lovies, roll over for tummy rubs and will play bow to try to get you to play with him. Scooby sometimes comes across as a high energy puppy just because he is usually one of the first to start and last to stop, plus the big bursts of playing. Yet, he takes so many breaks to observe or get some form of attention from people that he isn’t constantly running. This could be why he tends to last longer. So maybe it is best to say plays hard in bursts and knows how to pace himself so he doesn’t tucker out too fast. He also has a nice natural on/off to him. Scooby will do best with some sort of job. Yet I also think he would make a great companion in an active home.

Chocolate Males: reserved

Camo – Mr. Camo is the smaller of the two chocolate males, but don’t think for a minute that it means he can’t keep up with his brother. Camo actually likes to go toe to toe with his brothers and has no problem holding his own. Camo loves the wings, bumpers and various toys. He has a strong natural carry and is often walking around with something in his mouth. Camo is very confident, curious and has no problem going off to investigate something new. He also likes to go out of his way to check in and make eye contact. This boy is very smart and wants to interact. I would say he is middle energy and just a bit lower than Zombie. He still plays hard and has a can-do attitude. Camo also likes to take time to observe what is going on around him. Not usually at the beginning of a play session, but more in the middle. Camo also has shown problem solving tendencies when keeping an item away from littermates. He is super sweet and loves to get attention. He will often come lay beside me to play with something and just do his own thing away from his littermates. Did I mention he is smart? This boy is going to make an outstanding hunting partner and family companion.

Zombie – Mr. Zombie is the bigger of the two chocolate males. He is super sweet and also very well balanced. Zombie has a happy-go-lucky type of attitude most of the time where he just likes to participate in whatever is going on. He has very similar energy and mannerisms like Camo. Zombie likes to check in, get loved on and interact with people. He will happily play with his littermates, with people or on his own. He is more of a middle energy puppy and it can be a toss up if he will think first or just jump right into something new. Zombie seems to equally enjoy the wings, bumpers and various toys. Zombie definitely has an observant side and will usually come in for attention when most of the puppies are off doing something else. He will often grab a toy and come near my side to play with it. When he wants attention, sometimes he will climb in my lap and other times he will sit and look at me. He also will make an excellent hunting partner and family companion.

Black Females: reserved

Limon- Miss Limon is the little girl of the litter that is still building her self-confidence. She is super sweet and has been the puppy that tends to get picked on. She is starting to learn how to stand up for herself. Because of this she tends to prefer to be with people or playing on her own. When she is away from her littermates, she absolutely loves to cuddle and is starting to really like interactive play with people. She is affectionate and likes to give and get kisses. Limon definitely enjoys the wings and will happily carry them around. She does try to keep them away from her littermates. Or she will wait until they are either sleeping or distracted doing something else to really get into her own playing. Limon is a think first puppy and is gradually starting to do more impulsive things. I honestly don’t know if she is truly lower energy or if she is just super smart and waits to play until there are fewer puppies to compete with. She seems so calm a lot of the time, that is until she all of a sudden gets the zoomies. Limon is what I call a heartstring puller. You can’t help but just love her and I find myself taking her out more often because that is when her true personality comes out. Miss Limon gives me hidden gem types of vibes. She is so very sweet, has a s***ky side and prefers people over other puppies. I think in the right home she is going to continue to blossom and has the potential to be an amazing companion and hunting partner.

Jade – Miss Jade is a puppy that keeps surprising me. She is usually a think first kind of girl and very observant of what is going on around her. Not in a fearful way either. Just watches and processes before bouncing into the mix. She has no problem going after what she wants, going off to investigate something on her own or following a group of puppies. Then when I least expect it she will be either right next to me or in front of me. She is definitely a problem solver and will find ways to keep whatever object she is currently playing with. Jade seems to equally like the wings and various toys. She is a puppy that will play in bursts, take breaks still when fresh and then get back to it or find something else to do. Jade reminds me a lot of how Angel was as a puppy. Very focused on people, still wanting to be apart of everything going on. Tenacious when she wants to be and yet still compliant with people.

Pink- Miss Pink is the smallest of the females but has one of the biggest personalities. As my sister put it, a little Diva. This little girl is normally a jump right in kind of lady. She is very quick in how she moves and tends to be right in the middle of everything. Miss Pink doesn’t hesitate to go after and usually keep whatever she wants from her littermates. She has a tenacious side. Miss Pink loves the wings and toys. She definitely loves attention too. She completely melts when I pick her up and she often climbs in my lap to snooze. Miss Pink is the kind of puppy that I think will need a job, but she also will thrive with being part of the family.

Yellow – Miss Yellow is the puppy from the litter that is usually the first to do anything and she is usually so confident about it. She was the puppy first to climb out of the box and after she did it once, she was always out until I put in the half door. Then she figured out how to climb out with that too. Yes she is super tenacious and has no problem going after whatever she wants. Miss Yellow was also the puppy that would sneak out the room door and start exploring the house at just over 3 weeks old. Lets put it this way, if she wants to do it, she is going to try to figure out a way to do. This also applies to wings, bumpers and various toys. She loves them and is happy to play alone or with others, also to carry them around. Miss Yellow is very observant and seems to be aware of what is going on around her at most times. She absolutely loves people and that tail just doesn’t stop. When you hold her she will settle right in. She usually comes running when I call her or she will just check in on her own. Yellow is probably the highest energy puppy of the litter. I have had other puppies in different litters that have been higher energy for comparison, but I can confidently say she will need a job. I also want to point out that on her many solo or tandem (with Gray) impromptu trips through the house, she would settle down and lay down to watch whatever I was busy doing. She wasn’t always running. She likes to be near.

Chocolate Females: 1 spot open.

Flower – Miss Flower is the largest of the females and she is such a sweet, well-balanced all-around girl. Miss Flower is very confident and usually a jumps right in, but I have also seen her think first too. She is equally happy playing with her littermates, playing on her own or playing with people. She also loves to play with the various wings/toys/bumpers and has a nice natural carry. Flower tends to act extra proud of herself if she “earns’ something from one of her littermates. Now that being said, she has brought these objects to me on her own on many occasions. Flower loves people and is usually one of the puppies that intentionally comes to say hi before running off to play. Flower also likes to take breaks in the middle of play sessions to sit along the side and observe what is going on around. Flower is very affectionate and absolutely loves to be held and cuddled. I think this girl could do pretty much anything. She also is going to make a wonderful family companion too.

Fire – Miss Fire is one of the girls that is going though one of the bigger changes. She, like Limon, was often getting picked on. The difference is that Fire has been learning how to stand up for herself and is no longer the puppy that allows anyone to pick on her. She does a great job holding her own in may ways. If she gets bombarded, she will figure out a way to get away. Fire is super smart and observant. She tends to really come out of her shell when she gets to play off on her own or with people. More recently I have noticed that Fire will come in for attention at the beginning of a play session and almost waits until the others are slowing down and then she turns on the turbo to play! She loves the wings over most other toys. She has brought them to me on multiple occasions. Fire is a lower to middle of the road puppy with regard to energy. I say lower, just because she can be so chill. She clearly has a strong natural on/off to her. Fire would be perfect for home that wants a companion first and then hunting buddy or just activity partner.

Goldie – Miss Goldie is a beautiful girl that is also very well balanced. Goldie is usually a jump right in kind of girl, but I have seen her stop to briefly think first too. She is often right in the middle of whatever is going on and then all of a sudden right next to me or climbing in my lap. Goldie absolutely loves people and she is good at making that fact known. She is a very happy girl and she tends to come a running when called. Goldie loves getting her one-on-one attention. She absolutely eats up the lovies and lets me do pretty much anything with her. Goldie is a medium energy puppy with a strong natural on/off to her. She will eagerly play with pretty much anything and loves to carry or drag things around. Goldie has the potential to go many directions.

Purple – Miss Purple is one of the smaller chocolate females, but do not let that fool you. This girl is a perfect mix of sugar and spice! Purple is an absolute honey and even before her eyes opened, she absolutely loved getting her tummy and legs rubbed. Now she will come over and just lounge around or roll over and let you do pretty much anything with her. She absolutely loves people and has amazing eye contact. She is very interactive and will initiate play, bring wings over and just hang out if given the opportunity. Purple is more of a jump right in kind of girl and seems to enjoy figuring out big obstacles. She has this can-do attitude. So I mentioned spice…Purple doesn’t take any attitude from any of the other puppies. She will go after whatever she wants. She will get after any other puppy that even tries to pick on her. Lets just say she holds her own and has moved from middle to one of the top of the litter hierarchy. Purple has the drive, affinity for wings and energy to make a phenomenal working dog. Yet she also has the calm, relaxed, affectionate side that will make her an equally phenomenal companion dog too!
