Lake or coast, keep a few things in mind before you head out with your pet:

🐾 Hot sand and pavement can burn paws, stick to cooler hours
💧 Bring fresh water, lake and seawater aren't safe to drink
🕶 Give them shade and ask about pet-safe sunscreen
🏊 Not every pet is a natural swimmer, a life vest helps
🚫 Watch for dead fish, trash, or algae along the shore
✅ Check local alerts for water quality alerts including deadly blue green algae blooms.

These two housemates, KiKi (black & white) and KitKat, are about as different as they come!

KiKi is reserved but affectionate, happy to soak up pets quietly. KitKat, on the other hand, has no problem owning the room and letting us know exactly what she thinks. 😉

🐕 Meet Scooter, the Shiba Inu who broke the mold!

Shiba Inus have a reputation for being a little standoffish. Like a lot of highly-intelligent breeds, they can be picky about who they trust outside the family. Scooter didn't get that memo. He soaked up attention from everyone at the clinic and had the whole team smitten.
