Not every vet visit has to be stressful!

Using Fear Free techniques (and a little peanut butter distraction 🥜🐾), we were able to complete Little Lulu’s blood draw with minimal restraint, even though extra support was needed.

Less stress = more trust, that’s always our goal!

We are honored to share an important update regarding Furever Friends Animal Rescue….

Effective February 28, 2026, FFAR will be dissolving operations and transitioning to a newly established 501(c)(3) charitable fund through the Veterinary Care Foundation, created by Capeside Animal Hospital.

This charitable fund will continue FFAR’s longstanding mission of providing medical and surgical care for injured, sick, and abandoned animals, as well as assisting pet parents facing financial hardship, with an expanded focus on helping pets of individuals experiencing homelessness or at-risk situations.

Since 2008, FFAR has helped nearly 1,000 pets receive lifesaving care. We are proud to continue and build upon this incredible legacy.

If you would like to support this mission, donations can be made here:

Thank you for your continued compassion and support for pets in our community. 🐾❤️

Sometimes the best medicine is just a smile🐾💛

We came across this sweet video of a woman giving pups the adventure of a lifetime, cruising around town together in her doggy bus.

We love seeing people go the extra mile to give dogs joy, enrichment, and a little extra love. Just had to share something wholesome with all of you!

A viral bus filled with happy pups gives rescue dogs visibility, community love, and a better chance at adoption.
