🐾 We're Hiring! 🐾

Ruffined Pooch Spa is looking to add 1–3 Dog Bathers/Grooming Assistants to our growing team in Leland!

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves dogs, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is interested in the pet grooming industry.

🐾 Position Details:

• Starting pay: $13–$14/hour during training

• Tips included (most team members average around $18/hour with tips, with even higher earning potential during busy seasons)

• Opportunity for a pay increase after a 30-day performance evaluation

• Part-time and full-time opportunities available

🐾 Qualifications:

• Professional grooming experience is a plus, but not required

• Experience handling dogs is required

• Must be reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working with dogs of all sizes

• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy salon environment

FAQ FRIDAY!!! ❓

Q: What is the best way to contact the salon for an appointment?

A: Facebook messenger is the FASTEST and easiest way to reach us. Our messenger is monitored daily from 9 am - 9 pm — even on days the salon is closed!

A: Calling the shop is also perfectly fine, BUT please make sure to leave a voicemail!! During business hours, everyone has their hands on a dog pretty much the entire shift. We prioritize the dogs over the phone, understandably, but without a voicemail, we aren’t able to return your call!

Thank you for helping us keep communication smooth so we can get back to everyone as quickly as possible! 🐾

Did you know some common household plants can be toxic to your dogs? Before bringing home a new plant, double check that it’s pet-safe!

✅ Generally Dog-Safe Plants:

- Spider Plant
- Areca Plant
- Boston Fern
- Calathea
- African Violet
- Bamboo Palm
- Prayer Plant

❌ Toxic Plants for Dogs:

- Lillies
- Sago Palm (VERY common in landscaping here)
- Pothos
- Philodendron
- Tulips
- Snake Plant

If your pup chews on a toxic plant, you should contact your vet to get advice & assistance!
