We had the pleasure of meeting with Amy Klein, Owner of Lily's Rescue Rehab this afternoon. We are working on ways that we can help this local rehab/ rescue center and all of their great fur babies. 🐾 Meet Chico! 🐾

Chico recently joined our rehabilitation program from our shelter partner, Lexington, Missouri Animal Control , where he spent the last year of his life waiting for a second chance. Unfortunately, not much is known about his life before then, but what we do know is that this handsome boy is incredibly sweet and loves people.

Chico is a 3-year-old (estimated) Pit Bull mix with a loving personality and a heart full of hope. He is still settling into our program, so he has not yet been dog-tested. As we learn more about him and complete his evaluations, we'll be sure to provide updates on how he does with other pets.

For now, Chico is enjoying the opportunity to decompress, learn, and show us just how special he is. We can't wait to help him find the forever family he deserves.

Today, Kaitlyn transported Duke to Belton Animal Clinic & Exotic Care Center to visit Dr. Teresa Bradley Bays with 4 Paws Rejuvenation - Quality of Life Pet Care. As part of his rehabilitation journey, Duke received animal acupuncture and a pet chiropractic adjustment.

One of the unique things about our program is that every pet receives individualized support to help reduce stress and anxiety while they work through the rehabilitation process. These treatments help our dogs relax, decompress, and continue building confidence on their path to a brighter future.

A huge thank you to Belton Animal Clinic and Dr. Bradley Bays for helping us provide this incredible care to the pets in our program. ❤️🐾

🐾 A huge thank you to JoJo for volunteering his time today to spend with Ares and Duke! ❤️

These handsome boys came to us from our shelter partner, Albany Animal Shelter, and they loved getting some extra one-on-one attention today.
Ares and Duke are both searching for their forever homes. Each would thrive as the only pet in the home where they can soak up all the love and attention they deserve.

Bellamy, Brad Pitt, Buddy, Austin, Ares, and Duke are all searching for their forever homes! ❤️

These handsome boys have worked incredibly hard in our rehabilitation program, overcoming obstacles and learning what it means to trust, grow, and thrive. Each has their own unique personality and quirks, but one thing they all have in common is a whole lot of love to give.

Their journeys haven't always been easy, but they are proof that second chances can change lives. Now all they need is a family to call their own.

Meet Piper.

You may remember her as Bella. She spent about three months in our care at Lily's Rescue Rehab while she got the time, structure, and decompression she needed to be ready for her family.

Now she is Piper, fully home, and she still comes back to see us. Her family brings her to Lily's Play-N-Stay for boarding and daycare, which means we get to watch her continue to grow up loved.

Piper is part of why this mission matters. The dogs who come through here are not just placed and forgotten. They become part of a community that watches them thrive.

Thank you to her family for choosing her, for trusting this process, and for letting us stay part of her story.

Today is National Rescue Dog Day.

Lily's Rescue Rehab exists because of every dog who has come through our doors. Some are still with us, learning what safety feels like. Some are home, building a life with a family who chose them. Some helped us figure out how to do this work better for the next dog who walked in.

Each one shaped this program. Each one is the reason we keep going.
