Vision Statement:
HELP Humane envisions a day when there are no longer companion animals being neglected and abused but each has a warm safe family that surrounds them. When all companion animals born are adopted into loving forever homes. A day when no dog is chained outside day after day. A day when a litter of kittens doesn’t mean others will die. A day when all pet owners are proud to say thei

r pet is spayed or neutered. We envision a day when feral cat colonies are few and far between. HELP Humane envisions the day when no healthy, treatable companion animal is killed to make space for another. We envision a day when our services are no longer needed.

Somewhere…. Out there…. I know my person lives! As a distinguished gentleman, I will take great care of our home together… Elevate it really with my light purrs and deep breaths.
We can watch nature together (mice and birds are my favorites to watch but I’m open to equal choosing rights).

Introducing Esmeralda 👑💎
She has the cutest little ear tufts and likes to turn her head side to side so you can properly enjoy the appearance of her floofy ears.
Currently, she is keeping herself occupied by tracking her little toys inside her condo and then pouncing with all her might. After she “catches” them, she will lightly shake them just before she glances at you to make sure you witnessed her athletic prowess!
Esmeralda is a lovely kitten with a fun and sweet personality.

Today, my shelter friends gave me a new blanket! I was really enjoying how soft it was and the fun colors of the blanket….
Then I realized that red and green are Christmas colors and I got a little sad… What if nobody adopts my brother and me before Christmas?
We love our Help Humane family but it would be so special to be able to spend the rest of this year and all the years to come, with our forever family.
My brother Holmes is pretty chill but I know deep down, our homelessness weighs on his heart too.
I’m a cuddle bug.
He’s a comedian.
We both really enjoy food, snacks, & treats!
Being chosen for the best family ever…. We are both ALL IN!

When you are a special case kitty it is common for staff to love you for being unapologetically you!!
That’s the case with ME… Saffie Rose. 🌹
While being at Help Humane, I found that I enjoy escaping my room to run zoomies down the hall. After all, I am kind of a hall monitor and like to tell everyone what they should be doing. Big personality girl here for sure. Honestly, get to know me and you will find me a bit endearing.
Treats in my belly make me so happy!
Having my special box (decorated by staff as “Saffie’s Box”) allows me to feel content and super special. I love to hide inside it while peering out waiting for the next person to enter my room! Many times I sprawl on the top of my box… also plotting my next escape zoomie time.
People are really my soulmates since I don’t really look at myself as a “pet” … truly, I am more like a companion of equal level to you.
When I first came to the shelter as a kitten, many people thought I wouldn’t live. I had been attacked by a dog and severely injured. But I took on the persona of a warrior….a survivor! I lived… Maybe that’s why I’m a tad spunky at times lol.
My shelter friends affectionately call me a tornado! I’m a regular comedic entertainer and treat tester!!
I LOVE talking and am happy to share all my inner thoughts and feelings.
We could chat up a storm together! We could be besties!!
We could live a simple or pretty extravagant life! I am open as long as I am with humans.
Anyways…. If you would consider opening your home to a confident, playful, cuddly, funny, and loving girl… come ask to meet me.

Little kittens have interesting tactics to get your attention… some will meow at the top of their lungs…. Others, like this special little guy, will peer at you while practicing their “sad” face.
They learn that once they hear the sound “awwwww…” cuddles ensue!

Working on my perfect head tilts to highlight my fabulous fur markings!
My nose & forehead are a perfect hourglass shape of an orange tabby.
My ears are perfectly symmetrical.
Eyeliner… on point.
Paws are like the perfect French manicure with just the right amount of white tips.
I believe socks and leggings should be mismatched for extra interest.
In all seriousness I believe that I am a great kitty!
I have perfected lightly marching in place when you rub the top of my head or as a way to entice you to share time with me.
I’m a fun feline and ready to be your friend!!
Lately, I have met a few other kitties too and I am happy to have feline house mates or be an independent in a home.
