Our veterinary assistants hold, comfort, and care for patients all day long. Our client service team answers your calls, gets you scheduled, and greets you at the door. Our Veterinary Assistants and LVT's keeps every pet clean, fed, and comfortable.

They’re the ones who notice when a pet seems off. They calm nervous dogs and scared cats. They remember your pet’s name. 💙

None of it shows up on an invoice, but all of it matters.

Meet Ryan, our Licensed Veterinary Technician! 🎉

An LVT is a trained and licensed medical professional. Ryan monitors all of our surgical anesthesia, places catheters, takes X-rays, runs lab work, and much more, and our doctors rely on those skills every single day.

Ryan has been with Village Veterinary Hospital since 2022 and has been such an amazing advocate for our clients and patients. Ryan is especially skilled at listening to the pet parents and then helping them understand the sometimes complex information about their pets.

In his free time, Ryan can be found tending his pet shrimp, working on his DJ skills, or creating some of the best homegrown salsa we have tasted. He is a very well rounded human.

Ryan, thank you for your skill, your patience, and the care you give every patient. We’re lucky to have you. 💙

At Village Veterinary Hospital, we use this week a little differently. Yes, we celebrate our Licensed Veterinary Technician. But we also celebrate every person on our team, because good care is never a one-person job.

Behind every exam, surgery, and phone call is a team that makes it all work. This week we’re going to show our support staff a little bit of love.

It’s never too early to inspire the next generation of veterinary professionals!

This sweet future veterinarian wants to be a vet when she grows up, so Dr. Niko, Lee, and Dolores gave her a very important job: helping her own anxious pup through a nail trim with treats, encouragement, and expert-level distraction techniques.

She took her role seriously and did an amazing job. We think she has a bright future ahead — and her pup clearly appreciated the support! 🐾💛

Even though we are already almost halfway through May, it is not too early to start thinking ahead about Memorial Day and the 4th of July.

Holiday weekends often mean more visitors, backyard gatherings, travel, crowded spaces, and loud noises — especially fireworks. For many pets, that can be stressful or even overwhelming.

If your pet has a history of anxiety around fireworks, parties, visitors, travel, or changes in routine, now is the time to reach out. Anti-anxiety medications and calming plans work best when we have time to talk through your pet’s needs, make sure prescriptions are appropriate, and give you a chance to try medications before the big event.

Please don’t wait until the day before the fireworks start. If your pet needs support for the upcoming holidays, contact us now so we can help make a plan that keeps them as safe and comfortable as possible. 🐾

Mental Health Month feels like a meaningful time to recognize how important the human-animal bond can be.

Pets bring comfort, companionship, routine, and connection into our lives, and for many people, that support can make a real difference in their mental and emotional wellbeing. They are there for us in quiet, steady ways that matter more than words can always express.

As much as our pets support us, their emotional health matters too. Supporting their wellbeing can look like creating predictable routines, enriching their environment, and making intentional time to strengthen your bond through play, affection, and connection.

Quality time is powerful for mental health — theirs and ours. 💙

Apparently it was Twin Tuesday at Village Veterinary and nobody sent out the memo.

Dr. Baron and Annie showed up in the same scrubs today, and we could not resist sharing this sweet and funny moment. It is little things like this that make workdays brighter and remind us how lucky we are to have such a fun team.

Today, we’re celebrating our incredible veterinarians and the heart, skill, and dedication they bring to every patient they see. Veterinarians play such an important role in protecting animal health, supporting families, and strengthening the bond between people and their pets.

At Village Veterinary Hospital, our doctors do so much more than exams and treatments. They listen, problem-solve, comfort worried pet parents, advocate for their patients, and guide our team through both the routine days and the really hard ones.

And while today is a day to honor veterinarians, we also want to recognize the entire team behind them. Veterinary medicine is truly a team effort, and our doctors could not do what they do without the compassionate, hardworking people beside them every day.
