Bullet update 05/25:

Mostly good news with Bullet. Lacerations did not cut any tendons/ligaments however, he does have a small bone chip weā€™ll be watching closely and will treat as necessary at the appropriate time.

This will be a slow road to recovery but we are confident Bullet will be sound and in the arena again at the end of all of this. Heā€™ll continue with his daily wraps and various therapies along with several rounds of antibiotics/anti-inflammatories. Bullet will return Friday for another round of x-rays.

Iā€™d like to thank Dr. Sanchez and his staff at Yucca Veterinary Medical Clinic for everything they do. Absolutely the best Vets and care team. ā¤ļø

After our Bullet scare last night, I thought Iā€™d share one of our beefy little blessings to bring a happier tonešŸ“. Sheā€™s a spicy gal just like her momma šŸŒ¶ļø she make us smile every time we see her šŸ„°

Bullet update:

We canā€™t thank everybody enough for all your prayers for Bullet! Heā€™s doing much better than expected this morning. We thought he crushed his pastern and broke his shoulder last night.

No idea how he did it, but he managed to catch his front left foot in between the top of 6 foot panel, flip over backwards and hang himself from that foot...

Heā€™s not a silly business horse, he doesnā€™t buck and rare or jump around. We didnā€™t see it happen but Iā€™m going to give hobble breaking some credit. He didnā€™t panic when he went down. He laid there and waited for help .

His is shoulder is still pretty swollen. His leg is swollen as well but the lacerations actually look really good after being compression wrapped overnight. His wounds are repack with Uniprim, his leg will remain compression wrapped for several days, heā€™s on pain and anti inflammatory meds and weā€™ll go in for a check up Monday morning to make sure that the tendon arenā€™t affected.

Overall, the power of prayer works! We are so blessed that it wasnā€™t worse. Last night seemed pretty iffy with the way he was moving/dragging his leg. Thank you all again for your thoughts and prayers. This horse means the world to us. We will post updates as he continues through his recovery process. ā¤ļø

** 05/24 Good morning! Thank you all for the prayers and love shown for our boy ā¤ļø Updates on Bullet will be posted to our main page but in short, Bullet is doing much better than expected. Heā€™s walking. Still swollen and sore, his lacerations look great, compression wraps are working and he will hopefully make a full recovery. He goes in Monday for imaging and next steps. Again, we canā€™t thank you all enough for the support! **

Please pray for our beautiful Bullet. He was in a freak accident tonight. No idea how he got himself in the predicament he did. We are absolutely sick to our stomachs and hoping everything turns out ok. This horse means the world to us and a lot of others. šŸ’” Thank God Leo was home when it happened and I was pulling in the driveway. Thank God Bullet is such a level headed horse and didnā€™t panic, it could have been much worse. Iā€™m praying it isnā€™t worseā€¦ šŸ™šŸ»šŸ˜–šŸ™šŸ»

Please pray for a full recovery and healing. I canā€™t even describe how horrible it feels to think he wonā€™t be ok. Heā€™s more than a horse.
