We wanted to give some friendly reminders to everyone partying with their pups this weekend:
💧Always have fresh water available! Salt water, especially in large amounts can be toxic to pets🚫
⛱️Dogs need shade from the sun, but even in the shade can overheat🥵
👀Look out for signs of emergency like excessive panting, lethargy, vomiting, blue/purple/pale gums
If your pet shows any of the above symptoms, please contact the closest emergency vet clinic ASAP

🐈Cat World Domination Day!🐈‍⬛ Today we celebrated our feline friends by recognizing the fact that they are the true rulers of the world. From ancient Egypt to modern-day America, cats have been training humans to be their pets for centuries. Did you know that cats actually evolved in order for us to better serve their needs?! Cats can produce a specific purr+meow combo (usually when hungry🙄) that mimics the frequency of a human baby’s cry, triggering us to alert and give them what they want.😳 If that’s not proof they’re the dominant species, we don’t know what is. The Soundside kitties definitely know we are only here to serve them…but we wouldn’t have it any other way😻

Tucker loves spending his Summer vacays at Soundside! Tucker visits with us every Summer while his parents are here…he is a staff favorite (can you tell why?🤩) & we appreciate the Heavner family so much for trusting us every year. If you have friends or family spending Summer here with their fur babies, we are always happy to give them (and the owners😉) a little vacation from their vacation🏖️🐾
