Meet Taz & Tizzy – Saved Just in Time 🚨
Over a week ago, these two precious souls were abandoned at a loud, frightening shelter. Taz (13) and Tizzy (8) had been left behind by the only family they ever knew—discarded because of a move. 💔

They waited there, confused and heartbroken, with no interest from adopters—and were facing certain euthanasia.

Today, they were rescued by Barking Wishes and rushed straight to our amazing vet, Dr. Zach, at Crossroads Animal Hospital. We promised them the rest of their lives would be filled with love, safety, and care. But we can’t do it without your help.

💛 Here’s what we know about Tizzy (8 yrs):
• Overall in decent health
• Has cataracts and an eye infection
• A little vision-impaired but navigating just fine
• Sweet snd alert

💔 And here’s what we’ve learned about Taz (13 yrs):
• Completely blind from painful glaucoma in both eyes- We’re managing it with daily eye drops for now
• Has a small tumor on his side that needs surgical removal
• Dental disease so severe he’ll need a full cleaning and multiple extractions
• Weakness in his back legs due to arthritis and muscle loss
• Despite it all, he’s walking, curious, and soaking up affection

🛁 Tomorrow, both will get gentle baths and grooming—likely the first real TLC they’ve had in a long time.

We desperately need help covering the medical care these two deserve. Every donation helps us get them one step closer to comfort and healing.

Meet our resident Gargoyle… I mean, English Bulldog Penelope!! 🐶✨

This 7-year-old queen has the BEST underbite you’ve ever seen — she could model for dental magazines if she wanted to, but she’s too busy showing off her killer smile and perfectly perched ears. Seriously, we’re about 87% sure she’s part Bulldog, part Gargoyle, because when she sits still, she looks like she’s guarding the gates of happiness. 🦷🦇

She’s dog-friendly, potty trained, and totally chill in her crate — but honestly, she’d rather be on your couch supervising snacks.

If you’re ready to welcome a wiggly little “Gargoyle” with a heart of gold and a grin that could stop traffic, come meet her! 🩷✨

💔 Meet Joseph – a 12-year-old Rat Terrier looking for a soft place to land.

His world was turned upside down when his beloved owner had to move into a nursing home. Now Joseph is hoping to find a new family to love him through his golden years.

He’s fully vaccinated, neutered, and was a sweet little gentleman during his evaluation. He did well with other dogs but may need a little time to warm up to new animal friends at home.

Joseph will be making his adoption event debut next Saturday at PetSmart! 🐶🎉

It’s always heartwarming to see our seniors find comfort, safety, and a soft place to land. Thank you to their amazing foster for opening your heart and home. 💛

We can’t wait to see all the cozy couch naps and front porch sunbathing in their future!

🚗 Dixie had a fun little outing to Tractor Supply this morning and soaked up all the attention from the people she met — she LOVES humans! 💛

Unfortunately, she’s not a fan of other dogs or cats, so she’s been stuck in a boarding facility waiting for her perfect foster or adopter. It’s no life for a sweet senior girl like her.

If you’ve got a pet-free home and a heart ready to love, Dixie is ready to fill it. Let’s get her out of boarding and into a cozy home where she belongs! 🐾💫
