🐾💸 It’s $5 Friday! 💸🐾

We currently have 37 dogs in our care, and while they may disagree on nap schedules, treat distribution, and who gets the best bed, they all need one thing in common—heartworm and flea prevention!

Keeping 37 dogs protected costs us a few hundred dollars every month, but those little $5 donations add up fast and make a big difference.

6 year old Yorkie with a heart full of love. She may be a little shy and fearful at first, but give her a couple days and her sweet personality starts to shine ✨

Our longest resident is back and she needs a foster home. 💔
Dixie is unfortunately back with us after being adopted over a month ago at absolutely no fault of her own. Dixie’s adopter decided a dog was too much work and was not caring for her properly. Thankfully a family member stepped in to bring her back to us when they noticed she was not being treated fairly.
Our sweet girl is an absolute angel. The easiest dog you could ask for. Potty trained, Crate Trained, Great with kids, loves people, a little picky about her dog friends but who else wouldn’t want all the love for themselves. Dixie is an angel. She is now 11 years old and originally came to us last May from the shelter after losing her beloved owner.
Dixie deserves better. She deserves to be spoiled and loved and cherished in her golden years. She has so much love to give. 😢❤️

Meet Buddy! ❤️

Buddy is a 10 year old Havanese mix weighing in at 19 lbs of pure sweetness. When Buddy first came to us, he was unfortunately very matted and uncomfortable, so he had to get the dreaded bald haircut. Don’t worry though — his beautiful fluffy coat will be back before you know it!

Underneath all that matted fur was an absolutely wonderful dog. Buddy is sweet, gentle, and an overall very good boy. He gets along great with other dogs, does well in a crate, and is a perfect gentleman for grooming.

Buddy may be rocking the “fresh shave” look right now, but we think he’s handsome no matter what — and his forever family is going to be very lucky to have him! 🐾

Kanga is officially ready for adoption! ❤️

Kanga is a 3 year old dachshund/Maltese mix who came to the shelter from a hoarding situation. Understandably, she was confused and unsure at first and needed a little time to learn that she was finally safe.

Now that she’s settled in, Kanga’s true personality has started to shine! She’s happy, playful, and excited to start her brand new life with a family of her own. Watching her come out of her shell has been so rewarding, and we know her best days are still ahead of her.

Kanga is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, and officially ready for new adventures, cozy nights, and lots of love with her forever family.

I’m off to dreamland now. Tonight’s agenda includes dreaming about snacks, a cozy lap, a few extra treats, and maybe… just maybe… my forever family. ❤️

If you hear a little snoring, don’t worry—it’s just me practicing for movie nights with my future humans. 😴🐾
