Meet Swampy

Swampy is approximately 3yrs 1month old(May)& approximately 75lbs. Swampy is very sweet & goofy. Now that he is feeling better than when he initially joined the group, he has a lot more energy. He is nervous around other dogs but does eventually warm up & want to play. If the dogs are larger than him, he is a little bit more standoffish for longer. He's not the biggest fan of the kennel but I would recommend feeding him in a kennel as well as keeping him kennelled while you're gone.He is housebroken. He is an intact male so he does have the tendency to go sniffing as if he's going to Mark(he will be neutered before going to his forever home). But if you tell him to leave it alone he will walk away from whatever he's smelling. He does let you know when he has to go to the bathroom & he also lets you know when he would like back in. He barks to let you know he needs to go out & he will scratch on the door to let you know he wants in. He loves treats, specifically ballistics or anything with cheese in it. That's the easiest way to get him in his kennel. He's not super interested in toys. He likes the kiddie pool & the pond in the backyard and he likes to chase my fish. I think more because they're just movement under the water that he sees. I can tell he really wants to play with my Great Danes specifically the boys but he's still unsure about how to go about playing with a dog twice his size.
He is nervous around loud noises, fast movements & he is pretty convinced that if he thinks he's in trouble, it's the end of the world & you're going to be very angry at him. So he can be very dramatic about crying or screaming if you move too fast to grab him or touch him. Swampy is current on shots, will be microchipped & neutered before going to his forever home. No cats. Please consider opening your heart & home to Swampy.

Do you know of anyone taking in dogs with health issues?
need to help a buddy re-home two dogs. Jolie is 1 and is black shepherd lab mix they think and duck is 5 and is bull dog/lab?? The wife and I have re-homed many through the years but I am stumped at this point. We are full of rescue and have not been able to take in any more. Is there any way you might help? They may get put to sleep if they cannot be taken in. thanks.

SOS! I found a beautiful blue pitty girl in the cemetery at Greenoaks Funeral Home where I work. I took her to Companion Animal Alliance but they wanted to euthanize her because she has heart worms. I’ve paid her adoption fee and I have pledges lined up to help pay for her heart worm treatment, I just need a rescue to take her! I unfortunately can’t have dogs where I live. I’m totally willing to drive her to wherever she needs to be to get help. Please help! I only have until Thursday at 5 to find someone to take her!!
