Jameson approximately 1yr old(March18), believed to be a breed mix. He is current on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, crate trained & housetrained. Introducing our Chicago Cubs litter!
They are 11 weeks old (born Feb 3rd)
Meet Gracie (our only girl) and Wrigley, Ryno, Sammie, Kyle (boys).

They are terrier mixes and we believe they will be small dogs when fully grown but we cannot guarantee size or breed. They are all current on age appropriate vaccinations, will be microchipped & spayed/neutered before going to their forever homes.

Gracie - is a diva, very vocal & believes that all humans & other animals should be paying attention to her at all times.

Wrigley - is a little potato who loves to climb, snuggle, & rough house with his brothers.

Ryno - is a little shy & loves kisses

Kyle - is a bit of a bully, has a tude & loves to explore

Sammie - absolutely adores sitting in a human's lap to snuggle.

Meet Bailey!
Bailey is a 7-8 year old Terrier Mix. She is approximately 25lbs. Bailey is HW negative, current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She is house and kennel trained. Bailey is an absolutely sweetheart and has never met a stranger. She loves her people and never wants to be away from them- if you’re home, bailey is attached to you. She is dog selective and can live with another dog but she would definitely prefer to be an only dog. She loves cats and has no issues with cats. Bailey has a Grade 4 heart murmur that will need to be monitored for the rest of her life. Bailey is terrified of bad weather and has to be medicated (with meds from the vet) when the weather is bad. She is a runner and will take off without looking back if given the opportunity. She REQUIRES a fully secure, fenced in yard. Bailey does require regular grooming as well. Please consider opening your heart and home to Bailey.

Meet Abby!

Abby is a 1yr old(March) mixed breed. She weighs about 50lbs. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped, crate trained & housetrained. She is good with other dogs, kids and small animals but hasn't been around cats. She has lot of energy and is not much of barker. Abby is shy at first but warms up quickly. Meet Raisin

Raisin is an almost 2-year-old Great Dane. She is up to date on shots, microchipped, spayed, and is heartworm-positive. She was rehomed by her previous owners, who had her living outside. She is adjusting well to being back inside and being kenneled for the first time in her life. She is very sweet and is looking for someone to be her person. She fears the leash because she was never properly introduced to the leash as a puppy. Raisin has met dogs ranging from 20lbs-180lbs. She is a lovely, goofy girl who has had a tough few months but is adapting well to her new situation.

APAWS could really use some help right now. As a non-profit, we rely on donations from our community to be able to do what we do. Whether that be donations of gently used items, donations from our amazon wishlists or monetary donations to the rescue- we could really use some support from our community in times like this.

***We could really use 48 wire crates, puppy pads, medium pet & larger pet taxis.***

You can drop off items to the PetSmart at the Petsmart in Gonzales & tell them it’s for APAWS or items can be dropped off to our vet, Petstar Animal Care of Prairieville , Monday-Friday anytime from 8am-5pm or you can send us an email at [email protected] &/or message us here on facebook to schedule a pick up/drop off with one of our volunteers.

Meet Rip

Rip is a Terrier Mix, 5yrs old, is approximately 11lbs, current on shots, microchipped, neutered & crate trained. Rip is a sweet heart. He loves following his person around, being held or chilling by your feet. He is a lap dog. Rip is good with other dogs of any size. He does get under your feet a lot- so that is something to be aware of. Rip knows kennel, outside, come & he will bark if he needs something otherwise he's quiet.
