What a day! It took all hands on deck from every corner of CCAS to make this day memorable. Teamwork makes the dream work! Huge shout out to the staff and volunteers!

To kick off the day, two of our longtime residents went home TOGETHER! Congratulations Hilda and Turkey Tom!

Three pups were adopted from the event at Papa John's Pizza featuring The Pawfee Cart ! Hudson, Mojo, and long-timer Emeriss found their forever homes. Thank you to the manager and staff at Papa John’s Bethel for hosting such a fun, friendly event and the owners of Pawfee for joining forces.

Back at the shelter, newbies Zoey and Allen went home with their new families!

This photo of Kaido may go down as one of the best ever taken here... and that's not an exaggeration.

We’re not sure why this handsome husky is still at the shelter (okay, we do know, huskies are often overlooked thanks to their well-known escape-artist vibes), but we can say he’s absolutely a catch.

Kaido has that classic husky pizazz: a little aloof, independent, and regal… but also a goofy side that comes out at just the right moments. Yes, he really is as charming as he looks in this photo.

We’d love to see Kaido get a break from shelter life, even if it’s just a short-term foster. He's around 4 years old and weighs 45lbs.

Meet Foxy!

Foxy is a clever, sensitive girl with a soft heart and a curious mind. She can be a little shy at first, but her personality truly shines when you get to know her.

She already knows basic commands, is very treat-motivated, and loves to learn (especially when snacks are involved!). Foxy is also good with other dogs and would do well with a confident canine buddy to learn from.

Foxy is around 1.5 years old and weighs 30lbs. She would thrive in a patient, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and grow.
