UPDATE:
Her humans have been found!
Pilot came calling at Howl today. Rather friendly. Has a very frayed color that is way too tight and we can’t read more than the name without cat being done with being held. May have lived in Wellington at some point. If you know anything, he is at Howl charming everyone who comes in, but at a distance.

If you see a small softball size bird on the ground after this storm, it is an ocean-going bird called a dovekie. They are being swept inland with the storm. Put it in a small box with a pillowcase or paper towel as substrate, and keep it warm dry and dark until you can get it help. Air holes are perfect (do before you put bird in box). No food, no water. Call or text us for help. We know of 4 so far that have landed here! (Not our photo)
