🦒 Big day for this little giraffe calf! 💛

Titali took her very first stroll outside today, exploring the yard alongside herdmates Caesar and Kesi.

Even better, Giraffe House visiting hours have expanded. You can now stop by daily between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM to visit Titali. Entry is included with your Zoo admission.

Each visit helps get her ready to meet the world: https://bit.ly/4fLVgcZ

👑 Did you know one of our amazing teen volunteers, Kinsley Potts, was crowned Miss Maryland Teen 2025?

At the Zoo, Kinsley loves connecting with guests from all over Maryland—especially curious kids who remind her of her own childhood Zoo visits. She’s passionate when it comes to sharing knowledge about animals and conservation that make a positive impact for both people and wildlife.

Her favorite Zoo residents? 🦁 Lions Hassan and Zuri, with Davis the cheetah and our flamboyance of flamingos not far behind. Kinsley has been fascinated with lions since she was little and hopes to work with them in the future.

Today is Panamanian Golden Frog Day and we truly have something to celebrate—our partners at EVACC Foundation in Panama are beginning to raise golden frog tadpoles outdoors for the very first time! 🎉

This major milestone, supported by the expertise and resources of the Maryland Zoo, allows tadpoles to safely experience the temperature, humidity, and weather of their native habitat—vital knowledge for reintroducing them to the wild.

These brilliant yellow amphibians are critically endangered and considered extinct in the wild due to the chytrid fungus, but each breakthrough brings us closer to seeing Panama's national icon back in their native forests and streams where they once thrived!
