This is your reminder that March is the best month to begin those goals and "resolutions." The days are longer and sometimes we get the privilege of a day like today. 🌞

I've also had a lot of people reaching out about lessons and training and that's so exciting!!
This is a wonderful time of year, especially if your horse had a lovely winter vacation, to go back to basics. See how soft you can get them on the ground. Practice your timing, practice transitions, look for quality over quantity as they build back their muscles and get in the right mind set. Flex, bend, yield, and set realistic expectations. I was so blessed to be able to pull all the horses out today after months off and they all excelled. The foundation sticks and it's never too late to go back to basics. Go out and enjoy your horse without feeling the weight of the world! And as always, never hesitate to ask for help, the horse community needs to all look out for one another. ❀️

Thanks for reading my "Ted talk"

The reality of frozen mornings with horses β„οΈπŸ΄

Filling up water containers at home
because the taps are frozen solid again.

That first breath of cold air on your chest
that makes you feel alive....

Fingers that stop working.
Lids that won’t open.
Buckets that feel twice as heavy.

And then…

Warm noses.
Steaming breath.
Rugs fluffed.
Horses standing quietly, content, unfazed.

Happy.
Comfortable.
Entirely unaware of the logistics you’ve just performed.

Cold hands.
Full hearts.

Frozen mornings are hard
but seeing them settled and warm
makes every numb finger worth it 🀍

Happy New Year everyone! Here's to the year of the horse in 2026 ☺️🐴
We will be starting barn lessons every Sunday at 11:30am on January 11th!
During barn lessons, we cover horse care, horse behavior, anatomy, common illnesses and prevention, hoof care, tack cleaning and everything else horses! This is a great opportunity to learn more than how to ride and a great way to stay in it during the winter months.
Barn lessons are 45-60 mins every week. Message if you're interested in signing up!

Happy Solstice ❄️

Happy Solstice ❄️

It’s Solstice Day, Equestrians πŸŒ‘πŸ΄

Blessed be the mud.
The sacred, ankle-deep, boot-stealing mud.

Today we honour ancient pagan traditions such as:
✨ Standing in a field at dawn questioning your life choices
✨ Lighting a candle while absolutely covered in mud
✨ Chanting β€œthe light returns” whilst your horse is still somehow dirtier than yesterday

The old pagans welcomed the returning light with feasts and fires.
Modern equestrians celebrate by:

Offering hay to the mud gods
Wearing three layers that are all somehow wet
Accepting that nothing you own will ever be clean again

Yes, today is the shortest day.
Yes, the light is coming back.
No, the mud is not leaving anytime soon.

So raise your reusable coffee cup,
bow to the great muddy earth,
and remember:

🌞 The days get longer
🌱 Spring will come
🟀 But for now… we worship at the altar of mud

Blessed Solstice.
May your boots survive and your horse remain smug.
