We found a cat groomer! And after seeing the war wounds on the lovely staff at Petco, I’m starting to realize why they’re hard to come by 😝 Silas had a wonderful experience with Cat at Petco (yes, her name IS Cat!) after having his nails trimmed , grape bath and haircut . For those of you know know Silas, you’ll appreciate the groomers comment when asked how he did . Her response : “He tries.”
That right, Cat 🤣 He certainly does .
Highly recommend that anybody looking for a gentle , patience and kind cat groomer should call the Oneonta PetCo and schedule your cat for a full service grooming experience!

Join the Delaware Valley Humane Society and Sidney Central School District SIDNEY STUDENTS AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE DECISIONS (SSADD) for the 8th Annual 5k & Color Run October 18th!!!! (Details below ⬇️)
We need sponsors ! The SSADD students receive much deserved scholarships to further their education . These scholarships go to those graduating seniors who have displayed outstanding aptitude and leadership in spreading the message of making good decisions and taking care of oneself by avoiding drugs, alcohol, and other dangerous behaviors. Those who become sponsors will be contributing to this wonderful cause and we at DVHS are proud to partner with this outstanding group of faculty and students at the Sidney Central School. When you become a sponsor, you’re not only helping a graduating student, but you’re also helping our shelter ! Partial sponsorship will also come directly to DVHS to help us care for an animal in our care . There are a few options for sponsorship:
If you’re an individual, then you can make a momentary donation!
If you’re a business, you can donate goods (bottled water , snacks for the runners , etc) or you can make a monetary donation!
Sponsors are given the golden opportunity to set up an information table the day of the race and encouraged to bring literature about their business. This is a greet opportunity to perhaps gain some new customers and it’s super easy! Hundreds of people typically come and it’s a very easy yet productive way to get the word out about your business. Your name /logo will go on the back of the tee-shirt which every student receives before the race so your name and logo will be seen everywhere! This is a GREAT opportunity to give back, have fun and get your name out there !

Baby Stanley (tiger below ) has been living with our employee, Rachelle for several weeks now. Fortunately for Rachelle, he’s ready to find a home because Rachelle just took in the four orphaned kittens for us from the other day. When you adopt a kitten that’s been raised in Rachelle’s home you can guarantee that he or she will be well socialized because she and her family are very hands on and provide a ton of love . Here’s a write up from Rachelle on baby Stanley ♥️ please message me if you’d like to meet him !

STANLEY Loves other kittens, and does not mind cats or dogs. Has a foot infatuation and will try to climb legs. Favorite toy in the whole world is a piece of rolled tin foil, which will make him growl and hiss at anyone or thing that dare think of stealing. He is playing not attacking as he does this, and if you throw it he goes chasing. Eats canned food ( very much prefers I and Love brand), but will nibble a piece or two of hard as well. Not drinking water alone real great so I usually put a small amount in wet. Knows his name and will run when called. Still sits with fractured leg held out and gets mild limp if playing too hard.

Desperately looking for someone willing to either bottle feed four 2 week old kittens or someone with a nursing mother cat who is willing to help . They were dropped off here after the mother was killed in the road and we are desperately looking for someone who can help us . Please message me here if you’re willing . We will provide the necessary supplies but ideally there’s a nursing mom out there as they usually have a better chance that way .
