Four Corners Equine Rescue is an all volunteer non-profit organization located in northwest New Mexico.

I love horses. So when this story landed in the Dear David inbox I knew we had to do something. (Have a story of you or someone doing good? email me at [email protected])

On five acres outside Aztec, New Mexico, near the Four Corners region, Terry Coburn and trainer Katie Johanson are caring for roughly 70 abandoned and neglected horses. That is not a lot of space for that many animals.

One of those horses is a mare named Sandi. When she arrived you could see every rib.

But here is the part of this story I was not expecting.
The people who come to this rescue to help the horses? The horses end up helping them right back. I will let you read the full story in this week's newsletter because it stopped me in my tracks.

Four Corners Equine Rescue needs donations, volunteers, and foster families right now. And I want this community to show up for them.
