Happy Halloween from all of us at the 'Tower!

Max is a friendly polar bear who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and got hit by a truck. He suffered a broken femur, and at 140 pounds, his surgery was no small feat. Dr. Shuman used a large pin and two large plates to realign the bones, giving him the stability he needs while he heals from this injury. Max is lucky to have a great support system and lots of people who love him!

One thing that sets us apart is the TLC every single patient receives from the moment they start their journey here. From individualized anesthetic and surgical planning, to close and thoughtful monitoring, to a fresh blankie straight from the dryer (for sleepy post-op princess Pina here), the Moontower team is going to treat you and your pet like a celebrity.

Star had his aural hematoma surgically corrected with Dr. Shuman. He wears a harness with a patch that says "Mama says I'm special," and we have to agree! This spotty boy is one of a kind 🖤🤍

Kaia has a joke to tell you, but she can't stop laughing 😆

This happy girl was here recently for a TPLO with Dr. Shuman, and she's doing great. We love you, Kaia!

When you drop your pet off for surgery, these two are the ones making sure the whole visit goes according to plan. They run lab work, take X-rays (as seen here), fill prescriptions, administer fluids and medication, induce anesthesia, and monitor vital signs. Their faces are the last thing your pet sees as they drift off to sleep and the first thing they see when they wake back up. They clean up messes, provide gentle reassurance, and make sure everyone has a soft blankie. Paige and Tanner, you're the best around!!

Emmy is your classic Golden: a mild-mannered, good-natured, just-happy-to-be-here type of gal. She came in for a TPLO, and we removed a small mass from her other leg while she was here. She was SUCH a perfect angel! We are lucky to have all the very best boys and girls come through our doors 🥰

Jet is just the nicest, most handsome boy in the world. He's a greyhound, and sadly he has a form of cancerous bone tumor that is very common in his breed. We performed an amputation to remove the tumor and provide pain relief, and he will start treatment under the care of his oncologists at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Specialists. Wishing you the absolute best recovery, Jet!!

Yoshi was our very first surgery with our new friends at Doodle Dandy Rescue Texas, and we have really enjoyed getting to know the folks at the rescue, along with Yoshi and his foster mom! We're looking forward to helping them more in the future 🐾
