The National weather service has announced a heat advisory for the Denver Metro Area until Wednesday July 9th at 9 pm. They are expecting temps up to 102 degrees! A recent study by Cynthia M. Otto, DVM at University of Pennsylvania found that teaching a dog to dunk it's head is a very effective way to prevent heat stroke in dogs. Amazingly, they found that many dogs could be taught this life saving trick in 5 minutes!
