Happy National Cat Day! We’re introducing the Cat of all Cats.

Meet Ginger.

Ginger may take the form of our logo or the beautiful, thick-coated Cat you see here, but she represents something much bigger. Ginger isn’t one Cat, she represents all Cats. She is at the heart of everything we do at CatsOnly.

Cats experience the world differently than we do, and Ginger reminds us to see things from their perspective. Because the more we understand Cats and the way they experience the world, the better equipped we are to create a world where they thrive.

2. Access to Safe Spaces

A Cat’s ability to thrive in their environment is closely tied to their ability to feel safe and in control. Having access to safe spaces where they can rest, hide, or retreat when they need a little alone time plays an important role in creating that sense of security.

Offering your Cat a variety of safe spaces throughout your home, such as Cat caves, hiding spots, elevated beds, and quiet resting areas, is a great way to help them feel secure in their environment.

If your Cat chooses to retreat to a quiet space, it’s important to respect that boundary and allow them to rejoin the household at their own pace.

Brianna is our ultimate multitasker! She always has a pulse on what’s happening around the hospital and is ready to jump in wherever she’s needed. We’re not sure how she keeps up with it all, but we’re certainly glad she does!

Sarah has the kind of personality that makes you feel like she just gets your Cat.

She’s told us that one of the things she loves most about Cats is their wonderfully peculiar nature. She sees a little of her own silliness in them, and we think that’s exactly what makes her so good at understanding and appreciating each Cat for who they are.

All jokes aside, our techs have assured us they actually do love their jobs. 😂

Veterinary Technicians wear a LOT of hats, and somehow, they manage to rock every single one. From patient care to problem-solving and everything in between, they bring skill, heart, and a whole lot of hard work to everything they do.

We’re endlessly grateful for this incredible team and all the ways they show up for our Cats, Cat Parents, and each other.

Every Cat deserves to be understood. Whether they share our homes or share our communities. October 16 is National Feral Cat Day®, a day created by to build understanding of community Cats and inspire humane, responsible action on their behalf.

At CatsOnly, we believe supporting Cats means looking beyond the walls of our hospitals.

As CatsOnly grows, finding meaningful ways to support the Cats in our communities will be part of our work, too. And right now, we want to listen and learn.

We’re featuring local artists’ work on an exclusive line of holiday merchandise, with proceeds benefiting our local rescue organizations.
