Their work takes precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety. While much of it happens behind the scenes, their impact reaches pets throughout our hospital.

IMPORTANT PET MEDICATION RECALL NOTICE

Please share this information with fellow pet parents. 🧡

Wedgewood Pharmacy has announced a voluntary recall of certain compounded veterinary medications due to potential concerns about medication potency. Affected medications may contain too much or too little of the active ingredient.

If your pet has received a medication from Wedgewood, we encourage you to check whether their prescription is affected.

What you should do:

💊 Check the medication name, lot number, and expiration date against the recall list.

💊 If your medication is affected, stop giving it to your pet, keep the product, and contact your veterinarian promptly to discuss your pet’s treatment.

💊 Contact Wedgewood’s recall services at 866-562-5931 for additional assistance.

Not all Wedgewood medications are affected by this recall. If you’re unsure where your pet’s medication came from or have questions, please contact your MVA care team. We’re here to help. 🐾

Looking back on Tech Week with a little perspective from the people we celebrated. 🧡

Jocelyn, an emergency nurse who has been with MVA for about three years, shares how the little things help our team feel appreciated and bring extra excitement to the treatment floor.

From treats to raffle baskets, we loved celebrating the people who give so much to our patients, clients, and each other. To all of our veterinary technicians and nurses: thank you for everything you do. Tech Week may be over, but our appreciation for you continues every day! 🐾

Our community food drive continues, and the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry could use your help restocking some much-needed essentials. 🧡

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far! Your generosity helps support local families and their pets.

The pantry is currently out of:
🐱 Dry cat food
🧻 Napkins and tissues
☕ Regular coffee: beans, grounds and cups
🍼 Baby food, including Stage 2 meat varieties
👶 Size 5 and 6 diapers
🪒 Men’s shaving cream and women’s razors
🧽 Cleaning supplies

They’re also running low on hot chocolate, baby lotion/oil/powder, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, size 4 diapers, men’s razors and paper towels.

Harcum College’s Animal Center Management students spent the day at MVA with the Client Service Representative (CSR) Leadership Team, exploring career opportunities and the many roles that support pets and their families.

Client service representatives help families navigate their visits, answer questions, and connect them with their pet’s care team.

Meet Penny, our Warrior Wednesday graduate 🧡

Don't let the sweet face fool you, this little lady is one tough cookie. After a course of chemo with our oncology team, Penny officially kicked cancer's tail and graduated in style, cap and all.

Patients like Penny are the reason our team does what we do. Here's to many more good days, sweet girl. You earned every one of them.
