Handsome Maxim is a 1 year old Maine C**n kitty who came to see us when he was struggling to walk, and was diagnosed with bilateral Salter-Harris fractures. These are fractures that occur in the growth plate, and in Maxim’s case they happened in the growth plates at the top of both of his femurs. Maxim had a Femoral Head and Neck Ostectomy on the left side, where he was most painful. Since surgery Maxim has recovered incredibly well and is quickly becoming his playful and energetic self again!

Cats are especially good at hiding pain, but thanks to his owner's awareness and prompt intervention Maxim is on the road to recovery.

Sweet, spunky Graycie Mae showed up to Main Line Veterinary Specialists with her frog backpack on, ready to roll! As is unfortunately common in French Bulldogs, she suffered from Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS). But after getting her airway corrected by Dr. Mehler, she is breathing better than ever and has more energy for all her upcoming adventures. We love taking care of Graycie and helping her live her best life.

If your Frenchie has breathing issues, we are here to help!

After limping intermittently for a few weeks, Daisy finally tore her cruciate ligament sprinting after a bunny and needed surgical repair (the bunny was fine; Daisy was not!) Luckily Daisy belongs to one of our superstar nurses who works in both cardiology and surgery, so she got the best possible care both at our hospital and at home.

Here is a little behind the scenes look of what preparation, monitoring, and recovery can look like for our patients, courtesy of Daisy and Nicole. Fortunately, Daisy is on the mend and back to seeking out snacks from anyone who is offering!
