Veterinary Practice Partners

Veterinary Practice Partners Setting the standard for what veterinary medicine should be. Preserving the heart in what we do. VPP offers a true partnership model.

Our doctor partners are not selling their practice. They co-own it with VPP, retaining clinical autonomy and brand identity while gaining operational support to achieve sustainable, high-performance growth and secure their long-term legacy. Whether you're a mid-career veterinarian in need of support, an associate doctor looking for a path to ownership, or a seasoned veterinarian nearing retirement, VPP offers a true co-ownership model to suit your needs.

Some of our best thinking happens outside the boardroom. Last night our SAB doctors and leadership team took the conversation to Fenway, and reminded us why the people in this community make everything we do worthwhile. Here's to great partners and better games next time. ⚾️

Last week, our team from Family Pet Clinic -- Christine Wiggins , Dr. Glori Brownstein, and Sydney Miller -- had the chance to visit Hand2Paw and sit down with Devon (Hand2Paw's Program Manager) and Sydney (Hand2Paw's Program Facilitator) to hear firsthand what this program means to the young people in it.

Hand2Paw works with youth aged 15 to 24 who want to build careers in animal welfare and veterinary medicine. And they've watched the same thing happen, over and over: a kid walks in hesitant, unsure of themselves, and walks out six months later knowing exactly why they want to be in this field.

Something Devon said has stayed with us: "There is no animal welfare without human welfare."

That's the kind of thinking that reminds all of us why we got into this profession. At VPP, we believe the future of veterinary medicine belongs in the hands of the people who love it most -- the veterinary professionals, the communities they serve, and the next generation stepping up to carry it forward.

So grateful for partners like Hand2Paw who are building that future, one young person at a time. Thank you so much for having us!

Dr. Haley Webster joined VPP in 2020. Six years later, here's how she describes the partnership:
"I'm a professional when it comes to your pet's health, but I'm not a professional at marketing. I'm not a professional at data analytics. Having these other business professionals come in and help me, just as I help them with the veterinary side, it really is a game changer. It makes it so much easier for us to focus on the pets, and therefore make our business healthier."

That's the model. Veterinarians stay focused on medicine. We handle the business behind the medicine.

But the part of Dr. Webster's story that stayed with us isn't about the business at all:
"VPP has allowed me the freedom in my schedule to be a good mom and be present for those moments in life that I'm not going to be able to replicate. I've got somebody who can speak for me, who has the exact same interests aligned with myself. I don't have to worry about that side. I can worry about being a mom."

This is what partnership is supposed to do. Give veterinary owners back the time, energy, and headspace to live the rest of their lives.

Thanks for sharing, Dr. Webster.

Student Spotlight: Alexa Dal Porto, VPP Student Ambassador

Alexa is a member of the Class of 2028 at South Dakota State University and one of our newest VPP Student Ambassadors.

She first connected with our team at the VBMA National Conference and again at the 2025 SAVMA Symposium. What stood out to us was how clearly her values align with our vision for the future of veterinary medicine, a future where the next generation of veterinarians has the support they need to thrive.

In her own words: "What truly stands out about VPP is their genuine commitment to providing veterinary students with a dedicated support system throughout our education. They check in regularly, and whenever I see the team at conferences, they are always so kind and inviting."

Alexa is looking ahead to the 2026 VPP Homecoming in Charlotte, NC, and we cannot wait to welcome her. Investing in future veterinarians like Alexa is at the heart of what we do, and we are proud to have her on the team.

A few months into partnership and the feeling hasn't faded.

Jules Galanti, practice manager at Arizona Canine Orthopedics in Scottsdale, partnered with VPP in early 2026. Her first VPP experience was Homecoming, which she got invited to with just four days notice. She walked in expecting a conference. What she found was a roomful of people running across the room to hug each other and trading real stories about the work.

"There was so much connection and so much collaboration. The vibe in the room was just all positive. That was the first feeling I ever got with VPP, and I still feel that way today."

That's the part that matters. The energy on day one is still the energy a few months in.

There's a version of vet medicine where you still get to be the doctor.

Dr. Simpkins at Cherokee Hospital for Animals shared what changed when she partnered with VPP, and her line stuck with us. She still gets to do what she loves, without carrying everything else that comes with owning a hospital.

That's the goal of every partnership we build.

Curious what that could look like for your hospital? Start a conversation with us ⬇️

The team at Short Pump Animal Hospital won a day with our COO this year. Their prize? Putting Rich Pacheco to work.

The Homecoming raffle that made it happen supports VPP's Employee Assistance Fund. Since 2020, our team has raised $475K+ to support one another through life's hardest moments.

"It is a privilege and really something that gives back to me, seeing all the hard work that they do." Rich Pacheco, COO

He started at Warwick Animal Hospital as a high schooler.

In 1993, Dr. R.C. Hope walked back through Warwick’s doors, this time with a DVM after his name. He’d worked there in high school. He’d worked there during summers home from Oklahoma State. And he’s been there ever since.

In January 2023, he became Warwick’s sole owner. Today, more than 30 years into his career at Warwick, he’s opening a brand new chapter: a partnership with Veterinary Practice Partners. We couldn’t be more honored to be the team helping protect what’s made Warwick a north OKC institution for decades.

If you’ve been a Warwick client over the years, drop a comment below and tell us about your favorite memory of the team. We’d love to hear them.

Welcome, Dr. Hope and the entire Warwick Animal Hospital family.

"When I made the decision to go with VPP, this is what I kind of dreamt that it could be like. And it actually happened."

Meet Dr. Stu Robson — veterinarian, founding partner of Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital Group, and the heart behind a practice he built and started in his backyard.

When he chose VPP, he wasn't just choosing a partner. He was choosing to keep the heart of his life's work intact.

"The partnership model is a differentiator. We are completely different than everybody else."
