We are a small non-profit cat rescue run by volunteers and donations from our amazing supporters! MA-F.I.A.

is a non-profit 501(c)3, foster-based, all volunteer, cat rescue group. On a daily basis, our volunteers provide homeless cats and kittens with nourishment, medical treatment, affection, and most of all, help in finding them a loving home. Organizations like ours help the people and cats in our city and surrounding communities. We work hard to network with other local groups, animal shelters and p

eople when a cat or kitten is in need. Our rescue relies solely on the donations from our caring and devoted supporters. Without this, we would not be able to help the cats in need in our community.

Seriously… how has Spencer not found his forever home yet?!

Just look at this adorable face. This sweet, affectionate, high-energy boy is overflowing with personality and is guaranteed to keep you entertained. He loves to play, explore, and be involved in everything you’re doing.

And before anyone asks—yes, he’s been thoroughly evaluated by multiple veterinarians and has had extensive testing. He’s healthy and ready for adoption!

His only quirk? Every now and then, he has a sneezing fit that may result in an impressive little snot rocket. It doesn’t bother him, doesn’t require medication, and certainly doesn’t slow him down. It’s just part of what makes Spencer, well… Spencer.

So what are you waiting for? This handsome little guy is ready to trade rescue life for a couch, a family, and someone to love him forever. Could that be you?

June is Adopt a Cat Month, and we’re celebrating all the amazing cats and kittens who have found their forever homes! 💛

This photo says it all — Momma Dot is officially over being pregnant. 😅 She’s hit that uncomfortable stage where nothing feels right anymore. Last week the vet told us ‘any day now,’ and we’re still waiting patiently. Please send all the prayers, good vibes, and smooth-delivery wishes her way. We can’t wait to meet these babies. ❤️🐾

The “3-3-3 Rule” is a great guideline for adopted cats, but the truth is… not all cats settle in the same way. ❤️

Some walk into a new home like they’ve lived there forever. Easy peasy — they eat, explore, claim the couch, and move right in.

Others need time. Sometimes a lot of time.

They may hide. They may watch from a distance. They may need weeks or even months of patience, routine, and trust-building before they truly feel safe enough to let their personality shine.

And that’s okay.

Healing, trust, and comfort are not one-size-fits-all. Every cat comes with their own story, experiences, and fears. What they need most is patience, consistency, and love.

But oh, those little moments make it all worth it:
🐾 the first slow blink
🐾 the first purr
🐾 the first cuddle
🐾 the moment they finally choose to trust you

That connection is something special because it’s earned.

It’s a labor of love… and one of the most rewarding journeys you’ll ever take. 🖤

Meet Beautiful Dot! 😻

We were notified of a stray cat and jumped into action. With kitten season here, we knew there was a good chance she either already had kittens or was expecting. Well… based on this photo, I’m sure you can tell which one it is 😂 She’s ROUND round.

So now we’re officially on kitten watch and patiently waiting for the big day. 💕 Please send all the good thoughts for a safe delivery and healthy babies for this sweet mama. Stay tuned for updates! 🐾

Snot His Fault: Spencer’s Road to a Forever Home!🏠

Spencer is a sweet, affectionate boy with a huge personality and endless energy. He loves to play, explore, and be part of whatever is going on around him. Whether he’s zooming through the house or soaking up attention, this charming little dude knows how to keep life entertaining.

Spencer does have one minor quirk: he has sneezing fits that can include the occasional “snot rocket.” 🦠🚀

The good news is that it doesn’t bother him at all. He’s comfortable, happy, and doesn’t require any medication or special treatment. He’s been thoroughly evaluated by multiple veterinarians and has had extensive testing, all confirming that he’s in great health.

If you’re looking for a fun, lovable companion with tons of character, Spencer might just be your perfect match. And a free box of tissues to the adopter. 🤧

At MA-F.I.A., we take pride in thoughtfully evaluating every cat that comes into our care. We see all personalities—friendly, fearful, feral, feisty, and everything in between.

We took in a family of four. The kittens were able to be socialized were adopted, while mom and dad were not suited for life in a home environment.

Not every cat can be socialized for adoption. In some cases, the best outcome for their well-being is to spay/neuter, vaccinate, and return them to the environment they’ve chosen.

This was the case for the bonded pair, husband and wife, Winston and Marshmallow. They were returned to their location where the homeowners will provide ongoing food, water, and shelter.

While it may not always align with what we hope for, prioritizing what’s best for each cat leads to the most humane and appropriate outcome.

We have a heartbreaking update on little Java 💔

After doing everything we could, including having him hospitalized for 24-hour care, we received the call no one ever wants. He wasn’t improving—he was declining. As much as we wanted a different outcome, the kindest and most loving thing we could do was let him go peacefully, in the arms of his foster momma, Rose.

It’s never an easy decision, but it’s always about what’s right for them. Java is now reunited with his brother, and we like to think they’re together again, watching over us 🐾

Our hearts are heavy, but we’re holding onto the love he knew in his short time with us. The rest of the litter—his four siblings—are doing well, and we’re pouring everything into keeping them strong and healthy.

If you have a moment, we could really use some extra prayers, love, or good vibes right now. Thank you for always being here with us through the highs and the heartbreaks 💛
