Remember that “bad behaviors” in well trained / good dogs typically come from lack of mental and physical stimulation (I.e. they’re bored). This peaks in the winter months when we’re unable to spend as much time outside. Make sure you increase the level of indoor activity when you’re unable to play outside as much and you’ll see the “bad behaviors“ reduce.

Towels or bath mats make great travel beds! Start teaching your pup about them by putting them on your dogs bed to start and then moving them around the house and taking them with you on walks so your dog knows what to do when you need to use them during your travels.

Set up a safe space for your pup to retreat into during the holiday season and get them used to hanging out in there to relax before you have guests start to visit.

It is possible to work with multiple dogs in the same space, but you do need to set them up correctly in order to succeed. Patience is VITAL when working with multiple dogs because the harder something is or the more energetic something is, the more likely they will break position and cause a domino effect with the other dogs.

Make sure your pups are getting enough rest to truly process and recover each day - it doesn’t mean you get to do nothing with your dogs but it does mean you have to pay attention to your dogs behavior and look for signs of overstimulation.

Barking! Everyone’s dealt with it so don’t get worried if it’s something you’re struggling with! Stay calm, don’t join in by yelling and find something else for your dog to do that is more positive in your environment!
