Expert enrichment tip 🧠🐶🐾
Not every walk needs to be long to be effective — some of the best enrichment comes from letting your pup sniff.

Sniffing is mentally stimulating, naturally calming for many dogs, and one of the easiest ways to help pups feel more balanced (especially on busy days). Even a short “sniff walk” can make a big difference.

Spring is the perfect season for it — the world smells brand new. 🌿✨

Summer safety reminder from the team at Bark & Board ☀️🐾

As temperatures rise, sidewalks and pavement heat up much faster than most pet parents expect. A quick “hand test” can help: if you can’t comfortably hold your hand on the pavement for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for paws.

Spring and early summer are also when we see more paw irritation from long walks on warm surfaces — so early morning and evening walks are usually the best move.
