That’s them helping you find the perfect scratch zone. Cats and dogs will often reposition themselves to guide our hands toward areas that feel especially soothing or enjoyable, like the chest, cheeks, shoulders, or base of the tail. (See Arnie: Exhibit A)

Honestly, it’s a pretty solid communication system: “Right there. Yes. That's the spot.” 😄

Long petting sessions? Absolutely required.
Admiring looks from everyone they pass on walks? Preferred.

And honestly, we’re happy to oblige. Around Atlanta, we care for quite a few dogs who are clearly convinced they were put on this earth to be adored… and they are absolutely right! 💙
