We wanted to take some time to highlight a few of our pups during bath time and they loved the extra attention! Our amazing volunteers take time out of their day to help our shelter pups feel like their best self.

Want to help us give baths? Volunteering is fun, free, and one of the best ways to brighten a dog’s day. Most of our pups don’t get the baths they truly need, and that’s where amazing volunteers like YOU come in. We make volunteering with us simple and easy so you can do more of what you love to do.

Learn more about our volunteer opportunities and help us help them feel (and smell!) their very best! https://lifelineanimal.org/volunteer/

Together is how we show them that we won't give up. Together we can find homes for 17 dogs in need. Together is the only way we can give them a second chance.

So please come adopt or foster an urgent dog today.

We are located at 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd NW Atlanta, GA 30336

Thank you to everyone who adopted over the weekend! Every dog that goes home makes a difference, and your support has helped bring our numbers down. But even with all these efforts, we are still 17 dogs over our target population.

The list may be smaller, but the work is not done. We need 17 people to step up for 17 incredible dogs—through adoption or fostering. If you can’t foster or adopt right now, you can still help by sharing this post and spreading the word.

Together, Atlanta, we can give these hopeful dogs the second chance they deserve. The deadline is Thursday, 9/25/25, at 7 p.m. Come in person today to meet one of our urgent dogs and be part of the difference.

We are in need of fosters and adopters by 7 p.m. tonight. We are currently 34 dogs over our population, and every adoption helps keep our urgent list down. Any dog out helps and they are waiting to meet you.

Meet 15 of our dogs who can leave with you same day. Green kennel cards mean they are available to go home with you after you complete the adoption or foster paperwork. These dogs have already been altered and vetted, so they are ready to leave with you right away.

We are open daily until 7 p.m. (and until 6 p.m. on weekends). With nearly 400 dogs in our shelter, there is a perfect match waiting for you. Don’t wait—come meet them tonight.

Just yesterday, we took in 33 new dogs, pushing us even more over our target population. Tonight, we have to make the difficult decision about how many dogs will be placed on this week’s urgent list simply due to space.

We need your help before 7 PM tonight. If you’ve been thinking about adopting or fostering, now is a great time to step in and save a life.

Can’t adopt or foster? Please share this post with your friends and family so more people know we are in urgent need of homes.

Together, we can change the outcome for these dogs.
