Foster Spotlight!

Meet Belladonna! 🌸
This gorgeous girl is all about fun, affection, and fetching tennis balls like a pro! Belladonna is a sweet, medium-energy pup who loves to play but also knows how to wind down for a good nap. She's especially fond of fetch—just toss the ball, and she'll happily return it, ready for the next round.

Belladonna knows her basics like “sit” and “down,” especially when treats are involved (and she loves treats!). While she may get excited to leave her kennel, she quickly settles and becomes easy to manage, showing off what a good girl she really is.

She’s been a star in shelter playgroups, enjoying rough-and-rowdy play with other dogs. After playtime, she’s all about snuggles, scratches, and soaking up affection.

Currently in a boarding foster situation, Belladonna is hoping for a foster home—or better yet, a forever home—where she can relax and shine as the wonderful companion she is. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and lovable pup, Belladonna would love to meet you!

Hello, fabulous humans! I’m Cabaret, a delightful 2-year-old lady weighing in at 33 pounds of love and joy. I’m the kind of pup who walks politely on a leash, making every stroll feel like a red-carpet event!

I’m a super cuddler, ready to snuggle up and keep you warm during movie nights. With my medium energy, I’m all about finding that perfect balance between playtime and chill time. Oh, and did I mention I absolutely adore car rides? Buckle up, because I’m ready to be your co-pilot on all your adventures!

I'm fully potty trained and crate trained and non-destructive when I am left out alone. I love being out and exploring my home and of course getting comfortable on the couch.

Dancer is all smiles today—and for good reason. 💛🐶

Yesterday, we were over our target population by 60 dogs. Today, we opened our doors with 4 dogs under our target—a truly incredible turnaround. Thanks to adoptions, fosters, and our amazing rescue team (who placed 18 dogs in just one day!), we were able to save so many lives in a short amount of time.

We want to take a moment to say thank you to our community. Once again, you showed up for these dogs. You shared their stories, brought friends to adopt and foster, and helped us push through another critical moment. Your support reminds us, week after week, that the work we do is life-saving—and we couldn’t do it without you.

To our dedicated volunteers, our adopters, fosters, and everyone who advocates for our dogs: thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

🚨 CRISIS MODE: We Need Your Help 🚨

We are currently housing 435 dogs—60 over our target population—and more strays are arriving every day. We cannot turn them away, but we are out of space.

As much as our community depends on us, we need YOU now more than ever. We do not want to euthanize for space, but we simply cannot humanely care for this many dogs without your help.

To help, we’re waiving all adoption fees at Fulton County Animal Services today (4/21) and tomorrow (4/22). Foster Spotlight Noppy!

Meet Noppy! This sweet and playful girl is the perfect mix of energy and affection. She loves a good game of fetch but is just as happy curling up with her person, resting her head on their shoulder, and giving gentle kisses. Full of tail wags and excitement when she first gets out for a walk, she quickly settles in and enjoys her strolls—she’d even make a great running buddy!

Noppy is crate trained, potty trained, and has done well with other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for a multi-dog household. She’s also kid-friendly and has a naturally happy demeanor, always wagging her tail when she meets new friends. Foster Spotlight Toyota!

Meet Toyota!

This happy girl is a total lovebug! Toyota is 4 years old and weighs about 40 lbs.

Toyota is the perfect mix of playful and sweet—she loves to play fetch and will gladly chase a ball as long as you’ll throw it. Her favorite snack? Crunchy lettuce! She has the cutest ears and an eager-to-please personality that makes her a joy to have around.

Since arriving at her foster home a month ago, Toyota has been a lovely guest—she never leaves a crumb on her plate and does her best to mind her manners. She’s house-trained, knows basic commands, and listens well when called. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate for 8-9 hours.

Toyota prefers to have company, but she’s been okay when left alone for short periods outside of her crate. With her medium energy level and perceptive nature, she’s sure to be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving and loyal best friend.

We still have 11 amazing dogs urgently in need of loving homes. These pups are truly wonderful, but the shelter environment is taking a toll on them. Many are struggling with kennel stress and are starting to deteriorate.

Adoption fees are always waived for urgent dogs.
If you're able to long-term foster, please come visit the shelter and speak with our staff directly — we're open every day and ready to help match you with your next furry friend.

🚨 We are currently 13 dogs over our target population — and as we all know, that number can change in a heartbeat. Just last night, we welcomed a mama dog and her nine puppies into the shelter. ❤️🐾

Our target population is 375 dogs — the number we can humanely care for while giving each pup the attention and love they deserve. But when more come through our doors, we step up — and we need your help to do it.

We also provide other services such as veterinary care for our animals including spay/neuters, pet adoptions, pet reclaims, volunteer programs, foster home programs, rescue group coordination and other life-saving programs.

LifeLine Animal Project helps prevent unwanted pet litters through low-cost spay/neuter, helps make pet care affordable through low-cost and free vaccine clinics, saves the lives of special needs shelter animals through our rehabilitation facility, and saves feral cats through our trap-neuter-return program.
