Have you met Persephone? 🐾

At 3 years old and 45 lbs, Persephone is a sweet, gentle girl with a lovely demeanor. She’s already had positive interactions with other dogs at the shelter, enjoys treats, and shows some interest in toys.

When we tried to capture a video of her, she did everything she could to avoid the camera! 😂 She may not be ready for her close-up, but she’s more than happy to soak up all the pets you’re willing to give.

Now, Persephone is hoping to find a home where she can settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy all the love she deserves.

Come meet Persephone today at Fulton County Animal Services! She might just be the girl you’ve been looking for.

Atlanta, we need your help RIGHT NOW! Zebra is our last urgent dog still waiting for placement, and her deadline is TODAY at 7 PM.

If you live in Atlanta or know someone who has been thinking about adopting or fostering, please send them our way immediately. We are open until 7 PM, and we need just one person to make a difference for Zebra.

Please share this post, tag a friend, and help us reach someone who can give Zebra a place to land before time runs out.

📍 Zebra is located at Fulton County Animal Services, 1251 Fulton Industrial Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30336.

Chuck is one of two dogs still waiting for someone to come for them. Both have a deadline of 7 PM tonight, but they have no idea how little time they have left.

Chuck was given a deadline this week because his quality of life in the shelter has been declining. We have watched him struggle in this environment, and we are hoping that sharing his story will help him finally get the chance to leave the shelter and experience life in a home.

For now, Chuck is just hanging out, going on walks, and waiting for his person to arrive. He deserves the chance to do so much more than wait in a kennel.

Can you be the person Chuck is waiting for?

If you can adopt or foster Chuck, please come to Fulton County Animal Services before 7 PM tonight. Every minute matters, and Chuck still needs someone to choose him.

Zebra is one of only two dogs on our urgent list this week, and she needs a home by tomorrow.

Since returning to the shelter, Zebra has been struggling with the stress of kennel life. Her quality of life is declining, and she needs the comfort and quiet of a home where she can finally relax.

Zebra first entered our shelter as a puppy. Now, she’s back with us, hoping for a different outcome. We want her next chapter to be one where she can settle in, feel safe, and be part of a family.

If you can foster or adopt Zebra, please come to Fulton County Animal Services before her deadline on October 22 at 7 PM.

What a difference a week can make. Last week, we had 42 dogs on our urgent list. This week, we’re down to just TWO.

We’re finally seeing a little breathing room in our numbers, and that’s something worth celebrating. We know things can change quickly, but right now, we just need two people to make a difference.

Zebra and Chuck are both facing a deadline tomorrow, 10/22, at 7 PM. Two dogs. Two opportunities to help them find safety outside the shelter.

Can you open your home to one of them through adoption or fostering? Let’s celebrate this progress by helping Zebra and Chuck find homes.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our Healthy Pets event for Fulton County residents! Together, we were able to help 1,689 people and their pets through free wellness exams, vaccines, microchipping, and spay and neuter vouchers.

At LifeLine, keeping people and pets together is at the heart of what we do. Events like Healthy Pets help make essential veterinary care more accessible to our community, ensuring more families can continue to care for the animals they love.

Hosted twice a year for Fulton and DeKalb County residents, these events are about more than free services. They’re about showing up for our community and helping people and pets thrive together.

To our incredible sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who made this event possible, thank you for helping us make a difference! We couldn’t do it without you.

Did you know we’re just 15 dogs away from potentially having no urgent list this week?

If intakes stay low and just 15 people choose to adopt or foster, we could give every dog at Fulton County Animal Services a week without an urgent deadline.

That’s 15 people who could make a difference for so many dogs simply by opening their homes.

Please come meet your next best friend before 7 PM today. You never know who might be waiting just for you.

Never been to our shelter before? Today is a great day to change that!

Right now, 38 dogs need placement by 8 PM tonight, and we’re hoping to connect them with people who can welcome them into their homes.

Our shelter is caring for more than 400 dogs, and every one of them has their own personality, needs, and potential to be a great companion. Whether you’re ready to adopt or interested in fostering, our team can walk you through the options and help you find a dog who fits your lifestyle.

You don’t have to know exactly what you’re looking for before you arrive. Sometimes, the right match is the dog you haven’t met yet.

If you’ve been meaning to visit, make today the day. 38 dogs are counting on us to help them find a place to go tonight.
