Thank you everyone for a great show this weekend. So excited to see new faces, new barns as well as the familiar faces of riders we've watched grow over the years. Great competition, good horsemanship and such camaraderie amongst riders and trainers. That my friends is what horse showing in Tennessee and everywhere should be like.
Thank you as always to the village that makes this show possible. Our judge and new announcer for a fantastic job.
We have grown so much we are considering adding Jumpers to Sunday. This would allow us to run more tables and a true jump off. Drop us your thoughts below.
We also have a new adventure in the works for next year. Be looking for some updates as things come together.
It does take a village to put on these events so please if you are interested in volunteering reach out. We need you!

Entries are coming in! Remember we are under cover the whole time so there will be no rain delays except for actual storms. Send your entry to [email protected]

Stalls are available, please mark on your entry number of stalls and if tack stall is needed. Same with a camp hook up!

Please set the bags of shavings of a tack stall outside the stall or you will be charged the extra shavings from Tri State.

Friday night there will be paid schooling time in main arena for 20$ per rider or free in the warm up. Please be respectful that all groups want to have schooling time. So please get your riders in to school what you need, and then proceed to the warm up for additional time

Schooling in the main arena will start hopefully after 3. Please keep in mind Tri state needs time to finish prepping the facility, and our crew needs time to get in and set up also. But team work makes the dream work so if your availableto help set up the faster we can all in get in!

We are adding a crossrail jumpers to the morning before the 18-inch division starts.
Riders may use this as a warm-up to 18 inches if they would like to.
Reminder stalls are available for the weekend, If you need a tack stall please add that to your stall count.

The Smoky Mountain Horse Show series (founded in 2012 by Matthew Lawson and Ashley Jenkins) is the first show of its kind that offers a “Big” horse show experience but at a cost that is affordable. We have put together a great horse show series that has many fun and competitive classes while teaching hard work and discipline to the students and trainers that participate.

SMHSS is a dedicated group of horsemen and women committed to facilitating a positive, family friendly horse show environment for all ages and disciplines. We believe in promoting good sportsmanship, integrity, as well as animal husbandry and care practices. It is our goal to educate today's children, as they are tomorrows professionals and leaders in our sport. Horse shows encourage personal and community growth and development, while promoting local businesses, education and enrichment.
