11-year-old, 14.3 and 1,100lbs registered chestnut Quarter Horse mare up for consideration.
She is a solid trail horse. Would make a solid ranch horse with opportunity in roping or cow events (she has already done light breakaway roping with a previous owner).
Disposition & Care:
o Stands quietly for the farrier
o Currently in front shoes and barefoot on the rear
o Sweet temperament yet hardworking mentality when she is given a job
o Easy keeper
o Great stall manners (clean and tidy)
o Well-mannered for turnout. Not marish with other horses
o Loads and trailers calmly
Training/History:
o Currently, 40 days into our program getting a restart and will continue in the program until she finds her new person
o Went through restart due to a cold back issue, likely from an ill-fitting saddle. She’s made steady progress and has been solid and comfortable for the past 40 days. A thorough veterinary check has been completed to confirm her soundness and overall health. Vet and farrier references available upon request.
To ensure her continued comfort and success, we highly recommend having a professional saddle fitter evaluate and fit your saddle upon purchase.
This mare is ready to hit the trails, and with the right person could excel in roping or cow horse events. She’s proven herself to be a reliable companion and is looking for someone to take her even further!
