The entire team at Whimsical Whiskers Rescue would like to wish our fearless leader the absolute happiest, most whimsical 30th birthday. 🥳
Hailey Monnet deserves much more than a birthday post. She is our executive director, medical director, and the heart of WHMS. Her big dreams are the reason we’re all together, doing what we love and improving the world for cats. It’s hard to put into words what she means to this organization, but we’re going to try. If you’ve ever adopted from us, volunteered with us, used our spay/neuter clinic, or noticed some new ear tipped cats in one of the communities we serve, you have been touched by her work.
Behind every intake, every emergency, every impossible choice, every happy adoption, and every tiny life improved, there is an endless amount of work, energy, dedication, sacrifice, and love. Hailey cares deeply and endlessly, not only for the animals we serve, but also for the people who love those animals. She advocates fiercely for all living beings to have the best quality of life and actively works towards a better world for all of us.
Rescue isn’t always cute cat pictures—it is always exhausting, overwhelming, and often heartbreaking—but she keeps showing up and teaching others how to do the same. Even when there aren’t enough hours in the day or hands to do the work, she keeps it moving. 💪🏼
Saving hundreds of lives by the age of 30 is pretty rad and she’s not even close to done. 🙌🏼 So today, we want to celebrate her for all of the reasons—she is a game changer who dreams big, an incredible mother, the very best friend, and the greatest gift to our community cats.
