Remember the cat in Pana with a huge neck wound?

This guy needs a foster (unless someone’s looking to keep him…) until he finishes healing before going back out. He was a community cat a Good Samaritan took to the vet and another Good Samaritan has been fostering while he heals. We neutered, vaccinated, and put him on different antibiotics from our vet. He is finished with those. However, it’s taken a lot longer than expected. The home owners who have him are facing unexpected life changes and need to move him.

This guy belongs in Pana but from what we hear, he wouldn’t mind being an indoor cat.

We think he’s around 1-2. Very sweet. He is not the rescue’s cat (supposed to be a TNVR) but we are trying to help them place him elsewhere until his neck heals.

Howdy, partners! We’re working on a very important case… roundin’ up more fosters! 🐴

These darn fosters don’t know how WANTED 🦹🏼‍♀️they are! Our operation would be a lot less rocky with more of ‘em. 🏔️

If you’re willing to throw on your cowboy hat 🤠and get dirty, apply to foster today! Link in comments! We’d prefer our fosters in ropin’ range, within an hour and willing to drive their mules to us monthly for check-ups.

🌟Meet our longest residents, Scarlett and Riedel!🌟

Scarlett and Riedel have been more patient than anyone in our care and certainly deserve the attention. However, they’ll be staying comfortably in their foster homes this weekend, as adoption events just aren’t where they shine. Neither of these wonderful, deserving babies will jump into your lap to make biscuits upon meeting, but they have as much love to give as the cuddliest kitten. 🤗 When a cat needs you to earn their trust, that’s when it means the most. 💞

🐾 Scarlett, 2, is a gorgeous gray long haired girl who has absolutely blossomed in foster care. 💁🏼‍♀️ She came to us after experiencing interactions with a child that were overwhelming, so she needs a quiet, child-free home with patient adults. She does wonderfully with respectful cats and is untested with dogs.

🐾 Riedel, 1½, has spent his entire life in rescue. 🥺 He’s cautious with new people and animals, but once he feels safe, he loves being near his person and curling up at their feet. He can live with kind cats and dogs; he just needs patience while he adjusts.

They won’t be at Saturday’s event, but they ARE available for adoption! If Scarlett or Riedel sound like the right fit for you, apply at the 🔗 in the comments, and we’ll arrange a quieter meet-and-greet. 🤫 We know these babies have endless love to give but have a much harder job to do in finding their person. Please help them out by sharing and help us find the furever they’ve been waiting for. 🐾🏡

We just want to take a second to shout out Conner Bridgman. He probably doesn’t want us to, but he deserves the recognition. 🫣

For several weeks he has worked to fix this door for us and the AC leak/drain. If you’ve been to the rescue before, you may have notice that the door was very difficult to open and close.

You won’t notice that now, as both doors have been replaced 🥹 He did not even let us argue with him about him paying for half the door.

The AC leak was not his fault, therefore we didn’t expect him to help. We are VERY grateful for all of his hard work. We seriously couldn’t have a better landlord. Without Lindy & Conner, we’re not sure we’d be here today!

This beautiful tuxedo girl has not received any applications the entire month of August at Petsmart🧐 Now how does that make any sense....🤷‍♀️

Carrot Cake is only 4mo and a bundle of fun! She's very active, playful, and would love more room to run to get out all that energy😺 She is extremely sweet as well, loves being held, and instantly starts purring when cuddled🥹

She's only at Petsmart (Mattoon) until tomorrow so apply now so we can process asap!!🤞

Approved Adopter🎉🎉

Poppy has had 5 applicants back out....😭

We don't know why this keeps happening to this sweet girl... but every single hopeful applicant has "changed their mind" or just stopped replying🥺

So here Poppy lays, in her cage at petsmart, watching all the other kitties get adopted other than her. Poppy was taken in with about 20+ other cats, and all have been adopted.. other than Poppy😞

Poppy is literally the sweetest girl so this makes no sense. She is the sweetest, most loving girl. Poppy does great with everyone including children and other pets. Anyone would be lucky to adopt her!

She leaves PetSmart this Sunday and will come back to our headquarters location while we continue searching for her furever family. Poppy has been through so much and truly deserves to find her furever family.

Please help us share and pass along. We need all the help we can get because Poppy deserves to go home🧡
