Welcome to the largest taxidermy studio in central Illinois that mounts in excess of 200 deer heads and 35 turkeys within 12-14 months!! Derek is now owner operator as Bill works alongside of

his son. Derek has been trained by not only his father but by World Champion turkey taxidermist Cally Morris as well as 3-time World Champion deer taxidermist Gene Smith. Derek also has a seat on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Taxidermy Association. Creating award winning taxidermy since 1980, specializing in deer and turkeys.

Worked on finishing the 3rd purchase order from McKenzie today…. Still have 2 more to go!😳😓Trying to get all the back orders filled before we can start building inventory so this doesn’t happen again!

We still need to improve some masters for the next round of orders…. You will see some changes on some of the originals to eliminate some waisted plastic…

We will try to continue to improve this line and can’t wait to get the next Elite Series II in production….

In the midst of stocking McKenzie with the Elite Series mouth cup line, we were able to get this customer mount scene finished up and we now have all the legs and thighs on all the turkeys. We will be assembling the rest of the first group of turkeys next week and filling the final 2 orders for McKenzie!

Finally the post everyone has been waiting for!!

Bourke’s Taxidermy is proud to announce the acquisition of the Elite Series mouth cups designed by Gary Weir of Blacktimber Taxidermy. We will now be the sole manufacturer of this series of taxidermy mouth cups, we will also be exclusively selling these mouth pieces through McKenzie Taxidermy Supply!

On another note, we are also excited to announce we will have a new line, The Elite Series II, that we have developed and will be available soon!

What a beautiful week here in Colorado! We were able to knock down 4 merriam turkeys within the first 24 hrs of being in camp!! If you are looking for a great western outfitter look up . We concluded our week mounting 8 bobcats! With that said all customer mammals have been mounted and they are on the drying stands! We are heading to Colorado for a merriam turkey hunt! The shop will be open for drop offs Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday next week from 8am-4pm. PLEASE CALL FOR APPOINTMENT!!

Not too much to post/show for this week, but lots of things in the works. 2 huge custom bases, large mammal alterations, and small mammal alterations and set up. With the large projects in the works, small mammals should be getting mounted by the end of next week!
