And that’s a wrap of 2025!!! I will be back in the shed next week in 26 ❤️💕💗 as always, I want to share my love and appreciation with all of you for keeping me going! It’s been quite a year. Along with keeping The Shed’n Dog afloat, we’ve hiked many mountains, explored the beach, camped in our new camper appropriately named the FunSlinger, fostered a puppy, realized we probably should get our own puppy, raised a threenager, and made many unforgettable memories. Can’t wait to see what the new year holds. Happy new year!!

Today I said goodbye to a pair of my favorite pups while their people get ready for retirement and move on to the next chapter in their lives! But this year I’ve had to say goodbye to many more as it was their time to cross the rainbow bridge 🌈 💔 I’ve been working with some of my clients for close to 10(!!) whole years now. To say I have gotten attached is an understatement! If I have forgotten to put your pups picture up if they have passed on, it’s only because I didn’t have it on my phone, but I will never forget any of them. The amount of love shared in the shed is immeasurable. I guess this post is another yearly customer appreciation post to say how much I love you all and that your furry kids are never just another client to me, they’re much more. Thank you for keeping me in business and treating me so kind and letting me love on your babies. I hope you all have the best holiday season!
(I had to add in some pictures of my very own, Jobba & ginger and Wayne’s family dog, Joni, that will live on forever as well!)

Is there anyone I know that would like to add the most handsome fur fella to their family? Then, meet Franklin! His looks aren’t the only thing going for him. He is roughly 60lbs, smart, fun, goofy, potty trained, friends with cats and kids. Just about the perfect pup. He is almost a whopping 2 years old and would love a family that can spend time with him to exercise him, preferably a nice sized yard for running, and teach him to maybe stop jumping when he gets excited and some basic pooch manners. If we didn’t already have a grouchy girl at home I would take him in a heartbeat, so I hope someone finds this and feels the same way I do and can give him a home! Send me a message if you’re interested

I had too much fun making Christmas portraits with my holiday pups this year with AI! And if you can’t tell, (because it looks so real), the last picture is NOT an AI 😆
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season and a wonderful new year to come. I truly am blessed to have the most amazing pups and customers that a groomer can have and grateful for all of the friendships made over the years. I’m excited for 2025 and to meet a few new faces!

We had the best time getting out of Asheville for a few days to reset our nervous systems, and best of all…shower! We were 100% in our element, getting in as many hikes as we could before coming home 😂
As for the shed:
I was really hoping to be back at it next week but it looks like the water is still discolored. We’re not even using it to wash our own hands, so I will not be washing your pups in this water. A lot of people have wondered, but your dogs need to be properly cleaned before I can give them haircuts to protect my blades from being ruined. That is why I have not opened doors yet.
They have started treatment at the North Fork Reservoir and it could take another week or two before the water starts looking better. In the meantime, I am researching how to get a filtration system installed to assure that your pups get bathed in clean water when doors open again. Thank you all for your patience as we take the time to get back to normal.

It’s no fun for me to say that the Shed’n Dog will be closed for the foreseeable future. We are still out of water and it is looking like it might be another 4-8 weeks until we get water back and I cannot work without water, unfortunately. Everyone’s hygiene is important, including our pups!! So if your dog needs to visit a salon to get cleaned up if one is accessible to you, please don’t hesitate! I can only offer nail and face trims at this time. I also have some beans, sardines, spaghetti, and tomatoes to anyone who could use them, otherwise I will bring them to a donation center this week. I really hope everyone is doing alright out there. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me for ANYTHING! Community is everything and you never know what someone might be able to connect you with. Sending love and light to everyone! 🥰 here’s some photos from our time in Winston Salem/cary/home.
Also…if you come here for grooming, you know that our miss Mabel does not like any of your dogs coming to the backyard (nothing personal) but we may have broken that since she was forced to stay with her two large cousin dogs, so I’m very excited to share that 😂 we’ll see if she barks at you or not the next time you come
