I’ve been very lucky to have had some great people work with me here at Hair of The Dog. Most recently Nicole. We are ALL missing her.
But those of you who have been with us for a while remember that we’ve lost our receptionist (front person) many times before. April, Lauren, Rachel, Salem, (and of course, Lois😇) to name a few.

Our luck on hiring a wonderful, bright, hard working, dog loving support staff seems to be waning. We have no receptionist for the time being. Your patience at this time is very much appreciated.

A text message on our SMS line (833-955-4155) is the best way to reach us. We will get back to you. We are here- grooming, daycare and boarding; but those things are keeping us too busy to answer the phones. The dog clients come first! 🐩✂️🐶🐾🐕💤!

We are open to finding the right person to join us, but in the mean time, we are doing the very best we can. I am considering alternate options (such as self booking online for clients).

Thank you for your understanding! I am blessed in so many ways! This is just a bump in the road!

NICOLE- We will miss you everyday for a long time. And I know this because that’s how it always goes. I’m so glad though that you made HOTD part of your life. You will always be one of my kids(thought it was more like co parenting with you!) like all those who have worked with us that left impression on my heart. I appreciate all the hard work, weekend calls, late night/early morning texts, the rescheduling, your reliability, your kindness to the clients, multitasking skills; I appreciate YOU. I’ll miss you.

You will fly high. You are an altruistic driven person and there’s no telling what you are capable of.

But I don’t know if the dogs will understand…🐶 Ob-la-da, ob-la-di😉

Go save the world. But don’t forget to write.

Today is very bittersweet because it is my (Nicole’s) last day at Hair of the Dog.

I am going to miss you all so much! This month marks three years of making some of the best friendships (both human and canine) and creating some of the best memories. This job convinced me to get Wonton, and then gave me the opportunity to bring him to work with me every day. It taught me so much about dogs and the special bond between animals and humans. It gave me the chance to grow while watching so many puppies grow.

I will miss those sweet faces and getting to know each dog’s unique personality, quirks, and little habits. I am so grateful that I got to spend the past few years getting paid to play with dogs and talk to their owners every day. I am also excited to begin my career in law at a firm assisting with Social Security and disability cases, where I’ll have the opportunity to help others and start my chosen career path, even though I will always love dogs.

Thank you all for sharing your furbabies with me throughout these past few years and giving me so many wonderful memories.

Rain or shine, the fun continues at Hair of the Dog! 🌦️🐾

The weather may have kept us guessing, but our pups have been making the most of every break in the rain with outdoor play, then heading inside for games, snuggles, and plenty of tail wags. Every day is a good day when you’re surrounded by friends!

Our weekends are always full of wagging tails, happy faces, and plenty of love! 🐾❤️

A big thank you to our amazing overnight caregiver, Jenny, for capturing these sweet moments with some of our boarding pups this weekend. From playtime and cuddles to peaceful naps, she makes sure every dog feels safe, loved, and right at home while they’re with us.

Cousteau the Italian Greyhound and Toasty the Jack Russell met for the first time, and it didn’t take long before they were off running, wrestling, and having the best time together! It’s always so much fun watching new daycare friends find their perfect playmate.
