HCF has a training spot opening up beginning in September. We offer training for finishing the green horse, show horses, tuneups or sales prep. Driving horses are our specialty!

We have a fun, family friendly barn with excellent care and full amenities. Our barn has youth and amateur riders of all levels; from the casual trail rider, to show riders competing in 4-H through Breed Association Competitions.

Convenient location in Arlington, Washington. Amenities include 208x84 Covered Arena, all weather 70’ round pen, oversized stalls, pasture space, tack lockers, wash rack, trailer parking, premium hay. Foaling and Therapy services are also available.

Christine has over 35 years of experience with horses in driving, english and western disciplines, specializing in all-around show horses. All breeds are welcomed.

In some ways it’s disappointing being a trainer who puts the horse first, goes at their pace, does an incredible amount of useful ground work, focuses on biomechanics and correct movement and wants the horse to feel happy and confident.

It’s hard to find clients who not only want the same thing, but realize that doing it correctly takes time.

Everyone is in a race to the show ring to try to beat the other guy.

Every horse I train gets worked with at their pace. 10 minutes here and 15 minutes there and it’s little bits at a time. They get the days off that they need. I never wear them out, drill or over do it. I want them to get it, think about and come back again fresh in the afternoon or the next morning to try the next step for a few minutes. It’s slow and steady building blocks with me.

There’s no fluff and frill. There’s no 5 and 6 year olds practicing upper level movements - that takes years and how many years depends on each individual horse.

There’s no race to the show ring. No competition to see who can climb the levels the fastest.

It’s about building a happy, healthy athlete who feels confident in their body and in their work. Those are the horses who last - physically, mentally and emotionally. Those are the horses that I train and put out into the world.

I wish more people were in it for the right reasons.

The horse first. The date of the show is unimportant.

My 3k horses stand in with my 40k horses.

I’ve had a five hundred dollar horse earn me 100k.

I’ve watched a 35k horse become a five hundred dollar horse with 1 X-ray.

I owned a mare who earned 107k , who I bought for 700.

Horses don’t know what you paid , they don’t know what they’ve won.
But they know how you treat them.

There’s not a single horse on our place that’s treated any differently then the others. You can’t put a price tag on a soul.

Today as I walked my pastures. I pet the noses of winners who’s owners failed them. I pet the noses of horses who could have been winners had they been given the chance.

Today I kissed the noses of baby’s who one day can become winners, if their owners bring them to their full potential.

Horses know no dollar value.
They do know if you love and believe in them.
Feed them & they shall feed you.
