Please join us in welcoming Maude to the Hearty Paws family! 💜

This beautiful girl was found after being hit by a car and, sadly, was never reclaimed. Thankfully, her story didn’t end there! Maude has made her way into rescue and is settling in nicely with her Washington foster family.

We are so happy to have her safe and surrounded by people who care. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for this sweet girl! Welcome to Hearty Paws, Maude! 🐾

🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN Hearty Paws friends!!! 🎃

Keep the festivities going all weekend and join us tomorrow in celebrating Día de los Mu***os at the Dallas Farmers Market!

We will have our usual tent set up with Great Danes ready to meet the market visitors! For Día de los Mu***os, the market will have vendors that celebrate making special items from the holiday, a Mariachi performance, traditional dance from Ollimpaxqui Ballet Company, and Catrina Models to take pictures with.

Come by to enjoy the festivities, say hi to some Great Danes, and learn more about our rescue and how to help. Plus, we always have fun items you can purchase that go straight to helping more Danes!

Sunday, November 1
10:00 am - 2:00 pm

🚨FOSTER HOME NEEDED FOR REMUS!🚨
📍Foster must live within 3 hour of Dallas, Texas

Meet Remus! This handsome, 160-pound gentle giant is looking for a foster home to help him continue his rescue journey. ❤️

Born 2/14/2025, Remus is a young guy with a laid-back personality and a whole lot of love to give!

A little about Remus:
🐾 Neutered, gastropexied (stomach tacked), and up to date on vaccinations
🐾 House trained, crate trained, and leash trained
🐾 Very dog-friendly (sometimes a little TOO excited to make friends on walks!)
🐾 Good with children ages 8 and up
🐾 Cat compatibility is unknown
🐾 Knows his basic commands and is happy to work for treats!

Remus is a certified couch potato who enjoys the simple things in life. He loves car rides (with the windows up, please!), playing with rope toys, and relaxing with his people. He’s an easygoing guy, although brooms and vacuums are definitely not on his list of favorite things!

What Remus needs most is a foster home willing to open their heart and home to this big boy! Click the link below and apply today!

🎃👻 WHAT’S YOUR PET’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME?! 🐾🧡

Forget the costume store! Your pet’s Halloween costume is already written in the stars… or at least in their name, birthday, and fur color! 😂🐶🐱

🧡 STEP 1: Use the first letter of your pet’s name.
🎃 STEP 2: Find their birth or gotcha month.
🖤 STEP 3: Add the costume based on their fur color.

Put it all together and see what spooky, silly, or downright ridiculous costume your furry friend gets! 👻🧙‍♀️

👇 DROP YOUR PET’S HALLOWEEN COSTUME IN THE COMMENTS! 👇

💜Jinx made it clear that she was already HOME, and we couldn’t be happier for her!💜

We’re thrilled that her foster family has officially become her forever family! Sometimes, the best foster success stories are the ones where everyone knows the dog has already found her people. 💕

Happy Gotcha Day, Jinx! May your forever be filled with endless love, happiness, and all the snuggles you deserve! 🏡💜🐾

💕🐾FOSTER NEEDED FOR MISSY!🐾💕

📍 Foster home must be located within 3 hours of Dallas, Texas!

Meet Missy, short for Mississippi! This sweet Southern belle is 6 years old and in need of a loving foster home. Could you be the one?

Missy has plenty of love to give and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a laid-back, people-loving girl!

✨ A little about Missy:
💗 Loves people and kiddos!
🐶 Dog-friendly
🐱 Sorry, kitties! Missy needs a cat-free home.
🚽 Potty trained!
🦮 Walks nicely on a leash!

We had a fang-tastic time at the Dallas Farmers Market for BARK-O-WEEN!!! 🦇🎃 We saw so many cute and funny dog costumes; it was such a fun day!

Thank you volunteers for helping set up, take down, share about our rescue, and all the other help that's needed for these events!

Thank you to our wonderful Dane volunteers for helping with representing the breed and rescue—Hearty Paws alumni Bruce, Bear, Bella, adoptable Jif (the jailbird), and Dane ambassadors Noel and Freya. Your cute faces and slobbery kisses are what make these events so much fun! And thank you to their humans for bringing them along and sharing their love with the market.

Thank you Dallas Farmers Market, we absolutely love spending weekends with y'all! In fact, we'll be back this upcoming weekend, Sunday November 1st, to celebrate Dia de los Meurtos!!
