Ash is a beautiful young boy who unfortunately has the black dig curse. He came in as a medical case, but has healed up beautifully. He is social, happy, out going and the absolute sweetest boy. Ash came to the shelter with a swollen, infected face, but thanks to quick treatment and a few stitches, he’s healing beautifully. Through it all, this handsome shepherd mix has remained sweet, friendly, and eager to connect with new people.
Ash is easy to walk, though he does pull off and on with his typical shepherd curiosity. He isn’t too focused on commands like “sit” just yet—he’s much more interested in watching everything happening around him—but he does take treats gently and will surely catch on quickly once he’s in a calmer, consistent environment.
He’s social, happy, and outgoing—ready to meet everyone with a wagging tail. Ash is the kind of dog who will thrive with someone who can give him structure, love, and a comfy place to rest.
Let’s get this sweet, resilient boy out of the shelter and into the safe, loving home he deserves.

had a swollen, infected face, it was drained and now only has a few stitches at the site; appears to be well on his way to healed
- not yet dog tested that I’m aware of; good body language around other dogs
- very handsome and so darn sweet
- easy to walk but pulled a bit off and on he is a shepherd mix after all
- friendly, outgoing, happy to meet new people
- no “sit”
- too interested in the comings and goings around him to “sit”
- appreciates treats but not overly interested
- I thought he was awesome!
