Not the donut dad from TV—this Homer is smaller, furrier, and honestly way cuter. 🐶✨
Homer’s a toy Aussie (black tri vibes, under 1 year old) who just ditched life in a puppy mill. Now he’s out here learning what freedom feels like—and crushing it.

Captain Claudia surprised us with a full starship crew — 9 healthy pups!

While they’re not ready to “set phasers to furever homes” just yet, this crew will need plenty of supplies for the next 3 months as they grow and prepare for their future missions. We are not entertaining inquiries for them at this time.

🐾 Claudia’s Puppy Story Is Happening Tonight
Two weeks ago, Claudia was wandering the streets—scared, alone, and very pregnant. Today, she began bringing her babies into the world. ❤️

Today at 4:30 PM, she started bringing her babies into the world. ❤️
After her first two arrived, her breathing told us something wasn’t right. We rushed her to VEG in Ft. Worth, where X-rays revealed 5 more pups still to come. Four are now safely here, but we’re watching closely to see if she’ll need an emergency C-section.

Claudia is in the right place if she needs extra help, but this visit will run anywhere from $600–$2,000. Every donation, no matter the size, helps cover the care that could save her and her puppies.

Helping keep pets safe, one chip at a time! 💖
Microchipped dogs have a significantly higher chance of being reunited with their owners — with a return rate of about 52.2% compared to just 21.9% for those without. 🏠✨ That’s why keeping your pet’s microchip info up to date is such a simple, powerful way to protect them.

At NTASR, every dog that enters our program is microchipped before adoption — and we stay on the chip registration as a backup contact, just in case. 🏷️ Because “better safe than sorry” applies to more than just your leftovers. 😉

This past June, we teamed up with our friends at Hearty Paws Dane Rescue for a free Check the Chip event — scanning pets’ microchips, updating owner info, and answering questions about microchipping. It was a tail-wagging success, and we loved seeing so many pet parents taking this simple but powerful step to keep their furry family members safe.

✨ Cheyenne’s Comeback Story — Powered by YOU ✨
You did it, friends. 💛 Because of your generosity, Cheyenne got something she almost lost — the chance to walk again.

Yesterday this sweet girl went through a lengthy surgery. Two plates, several screws, and one determined little Aussie later… she was already up and taking a tiny walk around the room to make sure her nerves were firing like they should. (Spoiler: they are 🙌)

Today? Her family got to see her, love on her, and take her home to start rehab. And yes — there were happy tears. 🥹💕

Whenever possible, NTASR strives to keep families together — and in Cheyenne’s case, this was a freak accident that happened to a dog who already had a loving home. We were honored to stand by her and her people through this process.

At NTASR, our commitment doesn’t end when a dog gets adopted. Whether it’s helping an adopted dog through a sudden medical crisis like cancer, freak accidents, providing resources for training, or supporting rehabilitation, we’re in it for life. Once a dog has been part of our rescue, they are forever part of our family — just like their adoptive families.

We will never euthanize a dog simply because they’ve become an “inconvenience” or a burden. We work with other rescues when needed, but if something isn’t working out — or if that rescue is considering euthanasia — we will ALWAYS take that dog back. Our mission is simple: keep these dogs happy, healthy, and living their best lives for as long as possible.

Cheyenne’s road to recovery will be filled with PT, belly rubs, and more love than she knows what to do with — all because of you. Thank you for showing up for her, for her family, and for every dog who needs a shot at their best life. 🐶💖
