The first recorded history of them was in the 1700s, in Germany, where they were used mostly for hunting badgers underground. By the early 1800s smooth, wire, and longhaired Dachshunds were recorded. Did you know? Bald eagles build enormous nests, sometimes up to 10 feet across and weighing up to 2,000 pounds. They often reuse the same nest year after year, adding new branches and sticks each time. Bald eagles can fly at speeds of up to 30 mph and dive at speeds up to 100 mph!
