If your pet struggles with noise anxiety during fireworks and celebrations, now is the time to plan ahead. The days leading up to the Fourth of July get very busy, and medication requests may take additional time to process.

Last Wednesday the 3rd, we got to meet the adorable little Shrimp for their first kitten visit with Dr. Emily and Tech KD! 🐱✨

Shrimp was a very sweet kitten who quickly discovered the best part of vet visits—Churu treats and all the lovins. 😸💙

First kitten visits are an important step in making sure kittens get started on the right paw with vaccines, growth monitoring, and preventative care. We’re so excited to watch Shrimp grow! 🐾🌟

☀️🐾 National Heat Awareness Day: Keeping Pets Safe in Warm Weather 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that dogs and cats can overheat much faster than we do. A little extra caution can go a long way in keeping your pets safe and comfortable this summer! 💙

🌡️ Heat Safety Tips for Pets:
💧 Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water
🌳 Offer shaded areas and take frequent breaks outdoors
🐾 Avoid hot pavement—asphalt can burn sensitive paw pads
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car, even for a few minutes
🏃 Limit strenuous exercise during the hottest parts of the day
🧊 Try pet-safe frozen treats, cooling mats, sprinklers, or shallow kiddie pools for extra fun and relief

⚠️ Watch for Signs of Heatstroke:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Weakness or collapse
• Bright red gums
• Difficulty breathing

If you suspect your pet is overheating, move them to a cool area and contact your veterinarian immediately. Heatstroke is a medical emergency.

Remember, our furry friends rely on us to help them stay safe when temperatures climb. Let’s keep this summer full of fun—not emergencies! ☀️🐶🐱

🐾🦷 Goose’s Dental Day! 🦷🐾

Last Thursday the 14th, Goose came in for a dental cleaning with Dr. Kate! 💙🐶

Goose was such a social guy during his stay and made sure to collect plenty of love and attention from the team while he was here. He was also a very brave boy for his procedure—and the best news? No extractions were needed! 🌟✨

Routine dental cleanings are an important part of keeping our dogs and cats healthy. Good oral health helps prevent pain, infection, bad breath, and can even support overall health throughout the body. 🩺🐾

Way to go, Goose! We’re so proud of you for being such a superstar patient. 💕

🐾💕 Lainey’s First Official Visit! 💕🐾

We had so much fun seeing Lainey, an adorable fluffy French Bulldog, for her first official appointment on Wednesday with Dr. Erin! 🐶✨

Lainey actually stopped by to visit us back in April to say hello, and we were so excited to see her again. This sweet girl is a total fashionista and loves showing off her adorable outfits. 👗💖 She even likes holding her own leash—how cute is that?!

Lainey was an absolute social butterfly, soaking up all the attention and making friends with everyone she met. 🌟🐾

We’re already looking forward to her next visit (and seeing what outfit she wears next 😄)! 💙
