As flowers bloom, so do risks for our pets, with plenty of opportunity for them to breathe in particles, scratch an eye, poke a paw, or even get snagged by a branch or thorn, all of which could potentially lead to infections.

Infections can be sneaky subtle—If your pet is not acting right and you are not sure what it is, get them checked! Like with most conditions, the sooner we treat an infection, the better your pet will feel.

Today is National Hamburger Day, but your pet doesn’t need the drive-thru version to feel included.

In fact, many classic burger ingredients—like onions, garlic, and heavy seasoning—can upset their stomach (or worse). The good news? You can still treat them—just a little differently. Think:
🥩 Plain, lean protein
🥕 Pet-safe veggies
🚫 No added salt, spices, or toppings

Because the best treats aren’t the ones we share…they’re the ones we choose with them in mind. ❤️

✨ Staff Spotlight: Alexis ✨

Alexis has been part of the GAVH family for 8 years! One of the things she loves most about her role is being able to help people and their pets feel supported, heard and cared for every step of the way. Whether she’s creating a positive experience for clients or helping solve problems throughout the day Alexis always brings compassion and dedication to the team.

Outside of work her pets Juniper, her Goldendoodle and Chip, her Corgi are her whole world and pretty much her favorite hobby too! 🐾❤️

Some of our amazing staff spent their day off serving the local community by providing low-cost vaccines and care for pets through BARCS.
So grateful to be part of a community that works to make veterinary care more accessible and keep pets healthy, loved, and protected. A long day, but absolutely worth it for all the wagging tails, purrs, and grateful families we met along the way. 🐾💉❤️
