🎉 🐾 Celebrating Graduation!!🐾 🎉
Meet Watcher! This handsome, sweet boy came to AVIM&O Hunt Valley last November with a diagnosis of lymphoma. For his first visit with us, Watcher came in muzzled with a cautionary warning from his mom that he is anxious and protective of her. Despite that, Dr. Rusk and team were happy to start working with him and got treatments started that day, moving at his pace. No one can explain Watcher better than his mom, so we'll share her words on his journey.
"Watcher is a very affectionate and intelligent 5 year old GSD. His favorite activities include: cuddles, playing with toys, swimming, and getting pup cups. He also does exceptionally well at scent games, quickly finding hidden objects. Watcher has enjoyed living much of his life in the UK and has been on many adventures. He loves to visit new places, especially if there is a beach.
Watcher developed fear reactivity at a young age. We promptly sought guidance from trainers and a behaviorist who have given much praise to how gentle and obedient he is, he only lacks self-confidence. He is also protective of his owners and this presents as quite a big bark. Watcher was muzzle trained to help him and his owners feel more at ease, however, once you get to know him it becomes obvious he doesn’t require a muzzle. His vet and his groomer feel confident to take it off when he goes for appointments. Dr Rusk and the team at AVIMO have been very sensitive to his needs and quickly made him feel comfortable without a muzzle.
Watcher is loyal, always happy, and would choose to live outdoors if his mom came with him. He is one of a kind and we are grateful to have him with us!"- Watcher's mom ❤️
