This is Buddie! He is a sweet 16 year old Himalayan cat that was adopted after his elderly parents weren’t able to care for him any longer 😞 His wonderful new mom (who also happens to be a Jill 😂) and dad contacted me in need of some house call cat grooming! We headed over to the house to assess the mats he had throughout his coat and they were so tight and close to the skin so we gave him a shave! Being an older cat, Buddie had some areas of loose, baggy skin that we had to be very careful not to nick. He didn’t love every minute of it but there were absolutely times he would lean into us and even kicked one of his back legs the way a dog would when they’re saying “that’s the spot!” 🤣
As a side note: I didn’t expect to be offering some cat grooming services, however, I noticed a big demand for in home dog & cat grooming. I began studying cat grooming through the National Cat Groomer’s Institute and have decided to offer limited services for anyone who has a need and prefers to keep their cat home! I understand this isn’t the right choice for everyone but if it is, feel free to reach out to discuss! We specialize in nail trims, ear cleaning, combing/brushing out tangles or loose mats, shaving heavily matted cats, and sanitary shave.
