**Update! We are officially back to our main building. Please come in the main entrance. Thank you so much for your patience. We still have some openings for both Dr Tom and Dr Sherrie tomorrow if your pet needs to be seen before the weekend.

04/15/2025

**Update** We are still operating out of our South Wing for the rest of the week! We are hopeful to have the main entrance open this coming Monday (but we will keep you posted). Dr Tom is working Wednesday-Friday this week and Dr Sherrie is here today, Thursday and Friday as her normal schedule. Things have been moving a bit slower as we don't have the normal conveniences, and less exam rooms, but we are happy to be open and taking care of your pets the best we can. We appreciate your patience with us while we get all the bugs worked out.

We are sad to say we had to say Good Bye to our little white office dog "Petah" yesterday. Many of you know his story of being quite the mess when he got here. Our little blind guy that could never get enough of his trails of treats! :) He had been dealing with several health problems and was getting worse by the day. Our little hairy buddy's take up such big spots in our hearts, it never gets any easier.

Take care,

Your Gateway Team

Our staff will be operating out of the south entrance of the building for the rest of the week. Dr. Sherrie will be seeing patients on Thursday and Friday. Dr. Sherrie can see pets with minor medical issues and wellness exams. We will be staffed to handle regular technician appointments, such as vaccines, monthly injections, blood draws, a**l gland expression, and nail trims.

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. We are excited to be able to see our clients and patients again!

VCA Gateway Animal Hospital continues to be closed today, April 8th. Progress is being made and hopefully electricity will be turned on today at some point. Due to the smoke smell, staff will not be in the hospital to help you, but once the electricity is turned on, pet records and the scheduler will be available. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, but we plan to open back up as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for your patience with us,

We will be closed Monday April 7th. We are so sorry for the inconvenience this will cause. Due to a small fire in the building we do not currently have electricity which means we have no access to our appointment schedule to call and cancel appointments and our phones are not working either. I can assure you we are working to get things back up and running as soon as possible.
Our team never ceases to amaze me! I am so proud of every single one of them for acting as a team to make sure each other and all the animals in our care were safe. I am truly grateful to be one of them. We are also extremely grateful to the Anderson Fire Department for all their help with getting the animals out that we could not. Our teams safety and the safety of every animal in our care is of our utmost priority.
Please be patient with us as we get things worked out, we can't wait to be back to seeing all of you and your pets!
