REESEE LEARNS IMPLIED STAY
An implied stay means that we do not use a verbal command for “stay”, instead our trainers teach your dog that every command must be followed continuously until a release command or new command is given.
This is very important for your dog to learn because without it your dog breaks from a command as soon as your attention shifts from them.
Reesee is catching on to this new skill very quickly and she will soon get to practice in public!

Crate training is all about making your dog feel comfortable and safe! Letting them know their time in the crate is temporary and they will come back out!

LUNA IS LEARNING LEASH PRESSURE!
Leash pressure is an amazing tool to use when teaching leash manners!
A great way to ensure your dog understands leash pressure is to let your dog wander around on a leash, while your feet are firmly planted on the ground.
When your dog hits the end of the leash and begins to pull, remember not to walk towards your dog. Wait until your dog gives in and then release pressure off the leash and REWARD!!
REMEMBER! You do not need to yank the leash, just hold it stationary!!

Dogs are self rewarding animals, they will do anything to receive A reward!
We reward dogs in three primary ways; treats and toys, physical touch, and verbal praise. Treats and toys we consider one item, because it greatly depends on the dog on which of these items is a better reward. This is the highest value reward
Physical touch is cuddles, petting, hugging, etc.
The lowest value reward is verbal praise
During the beginning stages of learning a new concept, the highest value will get us the best results. Once the dog understands the verbal commands, we introduce a variable reward system; phasing out treats and relying more on verbal praise.
