🐾 NEW! LIMITED PET SITTING AVAILABLE 🐾

I’ve decided to start offering pet sitting on a small scale❤️

This will be a little different from a traditional boarding facility. I’m keeping it small, personal, and limited to dogs I already know and groom. Availability will depend on my schedule, so I won’t always be able to accommodate every date.

Because this is an open/shared environment where dogs may be together rather than staying individually kenneled, there are a few important requirements:

🐶 Current grooming clients ONLY — I must already know and groom your dog.

🐾 Must be dog friendly. No aggression, fighting, significant resource guarding, or unpredictable reactivity.

🐱 Must be 100% cat friendly. There are cats on the property, so this one is non-negotiable!

❤️ NO separation anxiety. Your pup needs to be comfortable being away from you without excessive barking, destructive behavior, escape attempts, or severe stress.

💉 Must be healthy and up-to-date on required vaccinations and free of fleas, ticks, or contagious illnesses.

🏡 This is a shared environment. Dogs may play and spend time together, although they can be separated/kenneled when needed for meals, sleeping, breaks, safety, or when unsupervised.

📝 Please be completely honest about your dog’s behavior. I need to know about any history of aggression, biting, fighting, resource guarding, escaping, destructive behavior, or anxiety BEFORE I agree to watch them.

Pet sitting will be offered only when I have availability, and because I’m intentionally keeping this small, spaces will be VERY limited.

The whole idea is to give some of my grooming pups a comfortable place to stay with someone they already know while their humans are away. 🥰🐾

If you’re already a grooming client and have an upcoming trip, message me with your dates and your pup’s name, and I’ll let you know if I’m available! ❤️

Please note: While pet sitting is exclusively offered to my current grooming clients, being a grooming client does not automatically qualify your dog for pet sitting services. All pups must meet the pet sitting requirements to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for everyone. 🐾❤️

🏡 A Little About My Pet-Sitting Setup 🐾

I want to give everyone a little more information about where your pup will be staying and what their day will look like while they’re with me. My goal is to provide a comfortable, relaxed, home-like environment with plenty of options for both indoor and outdoor time — rather than having dogs spend their entire stay sitting in a kennel.

🐶 Indoor Area:
The main dog area has wood flooring, a comfy couch for lounging and cooling off, and individual crates available for sleeping, quiet time, or whenever a pup needs a little space of their own.

I keep a bowl of Diamond Naturals Lamb & Rice dog food available for the dogs during their stay. If your pup is on a special or restricted diet, has food allergies or sensitivities, or cannot have access to food throughout the day, please let me know ahead of time. You are also welcome to bring your dog’s regular food along with their feeding instructions.

🐾 Indoor/Outdoor Access:
A dog door leads directly from the indoor area into a secure outdoor kennel with cement pavers. The dogs are able to move between the outdoor kennel and indoor dog area, giving them a comfortable place to get out of the weather, cool down, relax on the couch, or simply take a break.

☀️ Daytime Routine & Weather:
I work from home during the day, so while I am working, the dogs generally spend their daytime hours enjoying the secure outdoor areas. They have room to move around, play, explore, lounge, and enjoy the fresh air.

They also have access to the indoor dog area through the dog door, so if they get hot, want to cool off, need to get out of the weather, or simply decide they’re ready for a couch nap, they can come inside and get comfortable.

Because I work from home, I’m right here on the property. Even though I may be busy working and not physically outside with them every minute, my eyes and ears are always open, and I’m able to keep tabs on everyone throughout the day. 🐾

💦 On warmer days (80° and above), I also put out a small doggie pool, which has become a favorite around here! The dogs can splash, play, cool their paws, or sometimes just stand in it looking very pleased with themselves. 😂 They also continue to have access to the cooler indoor area whenever they want it.

❄️ When the weather is bad, especially during snow or winter weather, outdoor time is adjusted accordingly. The dogs’ regular outdoor access may be limited to the smaller secure kennel area with cement pavers rather than having free run of the larger property.

When conditions allow, I’ll still take them out into the larger areas to run, play, stretch their legs, and enjoy the snow, but those outings are more closely supervised and limited depending on the weather.

During the day, I’m also actively adjusting their access based on changing conditions — so if it warms up, cools down, starts snowing, or gets windy, I make sure they always have the option to move between indoor comfort and outdoor time as appropriate. This flexibility helps them stay comfortable, safe, and happy no matter what the Modoc weather decides to do that day. ❤️

Because of this routine, my pet-sitting setup is best suited for dogs who are comfortable and content with an indoor/outdoor environment and don’t require constant one-on-one attention.

🌲 Backyard:
The backyard is a large, natural Modoc landscape with plenty of room for the dogs to stretch their legs, explore, play, sniff around, and just be dogs!

🌳 Front Yard:
For pups who love some grass under their paws, I also have a beautiful grassy front yard with plenty of shade for supervised playtime, lounging, and enjoying the outdoors.

🏠 And They May Get Some House Time Too!
When I’m not working and I’m spending time inside, approved pups may also come into my home and hang out with me. They get additional interaction, yard time, and the opportunity to settle in and be part of the household.

Because my own cats live here too, being 100% cat-friendly is an absolute requirement. 🐱❤️

My goal is to keep pet sitting small, comfortable, relaxed, and home-like. I want the dogs in my care to have room to play, explore, and relax, while also having comfortable spaces available when they want to sleep, cool off, warm up, have some downtime, or simply take a break from the group.

This type of setup won’t be the right fit for every dog — and that’s okay! I want to make sure each pup I accept is a good fit for the environment and will genuinely be comfortable and happy here.

Think of it as a home away from home — with plenty of room to be a dog and quite a few choices for the perfect napping spot! 😂🐾❤️

Well… today was one for the books. 🤦‍♀️😂

I was grooming sweet Gracie the Cocker Spaniel. She had already had her bath and I was blow-drying her chest with the high-velocity dryer while supporting her under her belly.

Apparently Gracie had other plans…

Without me noticing, she started p**ping.

Now, if you’ve never seen a high-velocity dryer in action, just know it has some serious power. Before I could react, the blast of air caught the turd and launched it straight into my wall and the side of my tub. 💩💨

I just stood there for a second thinking, “Did… did I really just blow a p**p across my grooming room?”

So I cleaned the wall, cleaned the tub, gave Gracie another butt bath, got her back on the table, started drying her again…

…and she tried to p**p AGAIN! 😂 Thankfully I caught that one before it became “Poop Missile: Part 2.”

Life as a dog groomer is definitely not always glamorous. Some days it’s beautiful haircut transformations… and some days you’re scrubbing p**p off the wall because physics decided to humble you.

🐶 Public Service Announcement: Before bringing your pup to the groomer, please try to let them potty outside first—and if possible, avoid feeding them a big meal right before their appointment. It’ll make them more comfortable, help keep them clean, and might just save your groomer from accidentally discovering the aerodynamic capabilities of dog p**p. 🤣

Tell me I’m not the only groomer who’s had one of those days! 💩😂
