Oscar is my 5-month-old foster from the Humane Society, and I’ll have him for the next 10 days to help set him up for success before he finds his forever home.

Right now, he’s still a little unsure about the leash. His pattern is pull → feel pressure → come back → pull again, and he’ll occasionally jump up when he’s looking for reassurance.

During his time with me, we’ll focus on building his confidence, teaching him to give to leash pressure instead of fighting it, and slowly introducing him to calm, mature dogs so he can learn from their example. One thing he’s already doing really well is his off switch. He settles and relaxes beautifully, which is an amazing foundation to build on.

Give your dog the benefits of personalized training while building confidence around another dog in a structured, low-distraction environment.

This 4-week program combines the one-on-one coaching of private lessons with the real-world advantages of a small class, helping you and your dog develop practical skills you can use every day.

✨ Only 2 dogs per class
📅 Starts Wednesday, September 23
🕠 5:30–6:30 PM

• Individualized coaching tailored to your goals

Lake day with my crew. ☀️🐾

Today was just a fun outing with my personal dogs, but adventures like this are something my Board & Train dogs have the opportunity to experience too!

Real-world outings allow dogs to practice their training in new environments, work through distractions, build confidence, and learn how to stay calm and engaged outside of the home. It’s one of my favorite ways to help dogs apply their training to everyday life.

Training should prepare your dog for real life. Not just the backyard. 🤍

Meet Frankie 🐾🤎

The Humane Society reached out and asked if I could take Frankie in, and I was able to squeeze him into my schedule for the next week to help work on some manners before he moves to his next foster home.

Over the next several days, we’ll be focusing on structure, engagement, and everyday skills to help set him up for success. Today was all about getting settled in and making sure he’s ready for a fresh start.

I’m excited to see how much progress we can make in just one week!

Ekko came along to a few private lessons today to help as a demo dog and distraction. 🐾

A big part of training is teaching dogs how to stay engaged with their handler around real-world distractions. Ekko was the perfect helper today, showing calm, neutral behavior and helping another dog work through training exercises successfully.

I’m always proud of how adaptable she is and how much she enjoys being part of the training process.
