This show was not only extended and full of the hits of the moment, along with summer hits of the past, but the theme of the show was "Catching Up With Kesha!" To celebrate Kesha's new album that just released on July 4th, you'll hear hits from her past (a few you may have forgotten) along with two singles from her new album, all in the mix, of course! From Saturday 5/24 and designed to supply the soundtrack to start your (and my) summer every year, the Summer Launch is all the hits exclusively remixed that you expect from every Saturday Night Mixtacy, but also with hits from summers past, throwbacks, mash-ups, medleys, tropically-tinged mixes, and later in Part 1, a DJ CJ "Sunshine Medley!" This is one of those shows I start planning months in advance and save certain mixes for, to premiere in this megashow!

Mixtacy is always about QUALITY over quantity, and these annual specials put that philosophy on full display, down to the very last beat (which was over an hour after the sun came up). Despite the length, every song is still planned like every show (and I didn't even get to them all!), many as premiere mixes, & as we get deeper into the night, more of the hits you may not have heard since the radio and clubs back then!
