Highlighted by the purchase of a yearling Take Charge Indy filly for $92,000 by Judy Prior, the ITBOA All Age Thoroughbred Sale concluded Aug. 28 with preliminary receipts totaling $813,500.

UPDATE: 48 yearlings sold for $803,950 with an average of $16,749 and median of $12,500. In 2024 the average was $16,335 and median was $10,000.

✨ Record High at the Sale! ✨

Hip 31, Ethelyn, topped the sale at $92,000! She was consigned by Iowa State University and purchased by Judy Pryor. Congratulations and best of luck to Judy with her beautiful new filly! 🐴💫

I’ll be working on getting all results posted as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I have an emergency dental appointment in the morning (fingers crossed it’s not a root canal 😬). Please keep checking the website, I’ll update as soon as I can.

In less than 12 hours we will transport our sales consignment to the Iowa Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Assoc Fall sale at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Its always a little bit bittersweet to see these race prospects that we bred and raised leave the farm but also take off on the next chapter in their development. Students in different courses have participated in planning, breeding, foaling, halter breaking and sales preparation of theses horses. horses will be available for viewing tomorrow 8/27 from 4-7pm and prior to the sale Thurs 8/28.
